That debate is kind of old, but suffice it to say I don't give a damn what you think about it. He was under the limit, all he did was speed. You can say all you want about previous acts, patterns -- bull. About 95% of the people I've ever been friends with, including those who've never seen the inside of a jail, have done that or more. It was a nothing offense, and I think Tank got jobbed.

It's not really about what I think. If it was, I would've at least waited until the BAC test came back because it wouldn't have hurt anything. But it doesn't matter, he created his own situation. That's why he no longer plays in Chicago, and he knows it.

Yes it was a nothing offense, but that doesn't mean it was a nothing offense in the eyes of the team. After the Tank situation, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they sat Benson down and said "This is your only warning, you're on probation, we're not cutting you for this, but we don't want to see you doing anything else that could put yourself in jeopardy. You don't have to break the law, we don't want you being caught without a DD somewhere, or being caught out late at night, or anything." I personally wouldn't have cut him had I not told him that, but if you sat him down, told him that you had a zero tolerance policy for anything, and then 2 weeks later he's caught doing exactly what he promised he wouldn't do, then the team would have no choice.

Wouldn't say Alexander has much left, he's pretty slow and gimpy now.

Kevin Jones would be an interesting choice though.

I have the Bears at 6-10 currently. No decent QB, and no real good RB's or WR's of note.

I dont even know who will be the Bears QB. I dont like either Grossman or Orton and I have no confidence in either of them. Quite frankly they both suck and neither deserve a starting QB job in the NFL. I was expecting the Bears to make a move at QB somehow, but come to think of it this years FA QB class was horrendous and this was a weaker draft year for QBs also. I thought maybe they would try and make a trade for Quinn or something.

Basically though the WR corps sucks and those hoping for Bradley to make a breakthrough are even more likely to be dissapointed now with his injury news. The running game is a big question mark, hope to god Forte is good, but it would be nice to have someone better to share some of the work now that Benson is good. The O-line still is terrible. The whole offense is very worrisome and who knows if the defence can get back to their 2005-2006 level anytime soon or not.

Care to elaborate??

I only recall hearing about maybe a couple of occassions, one being with some girl he was engaged to.

NOWHERE NEAR shawn kemp or travis henry prolificacy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottie_Pippen

Pippen has four children: one girl by an unnamed model and three boys. Scottie Pippen Jr. and Preston Pippen are two of the boys. He is married to Assyrian-American Larsa Younan and resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Pippen has reportedly received $289,000 in farm subsidies.

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m135...v89/ai_17817841

Chicago Bulls superstar forward Scottie Pippen recently reached a temporary financial settlement to care for one child he fathered and officially took responsibility for another.

A lawyer for Pippen, who did not appear in Cook County (IL) court, handed over a $10,000 check to support his former fiancee Yvette DeLeone and their infant daughter while the couple negotiates a permanent settlement.

Pippen and DeLeone parted ways after she charged Pippen with assault. The charges were later dropped when she failed to appear in court (Jet, Aug. 7, 1995).

Pippen also admitted through a lawyer in a separate court proceeding that he is the father of a 17-month-old daughter with Chicago model Sonya Roby. Roby rendered her claim last August after she bore twins and one later died.

There's talk that he has more, but they haven't been made public.

Sure, a team can do what it likes. But if it gets so hysterical that it cuts a player for "being caught out late at night", I'm gonna ridicule the team, not the player.

Here's a list of guys that are free agent running backs, not sure if they should be considered but here's what I uncovered:

Kevin Jones

Shaun Alexander

Mike Anderson

Ron Dayne

Samkon Gado

Anthony Thomas

I actually think the Bears will not bring in anyone and keep all of the running backs they have on the roster. Clearly they do not want to cut Adrian Peterson, a special teams standout, Garrett Wolfe, of whom I'm sure they want to see what he can do for them, and of course Forte, who I believe can be something special if he splits time with Peterson early on and maybe he can become the back of the Bears later on this year.

I think that's a tough sell. KC, Buffalo, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, and Baltimore are all pretty awful.

SF raises its hand.

AHAHAHAHA I just noticed you tossed Dallas in there :lolhitting

Just for DBAHO. :D

SF isn't very good, but you can at least make a case that, well, Trent Dilfer. So I didn't include them, but they could well belong in that group, too.

SF is terrible, for a while there they were on pace to be a historically bad offense for either points scored or yardage, I forget. Worse than the 2005 Bears offense, even. A case could be made that Alex Smith is the worst starting QB in the NFL. People get so wrapped up in ripping on Grossman that they seem to forget about legitimately terrible QBs like Smith or Tarvaris Jackson. Put Smith's career #'s up next to Grossman's... it isn't even close actually. It was funny to me that Shaun Hill, basically a nobody, comes in and does everything Smith couldn't do, without the excuses.

Id love taking a chance on Kevin Jones or bring back the A-Train.

I'd take Buffalo ahead of the Bears for sure (although losing Marshawn Lynch would really hurt). Edwards - Evans - Hardy is a nice combo though.

KC would be close, but they still have Larry Johnson, and their O-Line "should" be better. Who knows how Croyle will do.

Miami has a better RB in Ronnie Brown, and their O-Line is fairly good, and they have Ginn Jr at WR. I'd take their offense.

Atlanta could be pretty bad also, but Michael Turner could rush for 1500 yards this season, and they have Roddy White. Depends on the QB situation.

Baltimore has some decent WR's and McGahee.

SF has Frank Gore, and I would expect Smith to be better under Mike Martz (but who knows how that'll go).

Right now I'd say KC, SF and CHI have the 3 worst offenses.

Really, you wouldn't put Baltimore in that group? They lost Ogden, Clayton was a big disappointment last year, Mason's up and down, and their qb group is even more questionable than the Bears'.

And you forgot Dallas...

Behind whose line? Is the NFL going to let them borrow players?
