Balta1701
Usually 13 pitches, 10 strikes are the kind of numbers you see after the first inning, not the 2nd.

Balta1701
Javy has thrown as many pitches to Cabrera this at bat as Verlander has thrown in 2 innings.

elrockinMT
That at bat by Cabrera was 14 pitches and ended with a walk on a ball that looked to catch the outside outer half of the plate
justBLAZE
That was a great idea by Ramirez only if OCAB could hold on to it.

Balta1701
Damnation. Somehow I think the Cabrera at bat is to blame for that.
Brian
That at bat Cabrera had may have worn out Javy. Kudos to them. 2 pits ABs won't work guys.
Cowch
Detroit has had some breaks today already, just a continuation of last night.

Cochise
Javy hasn't been as sharp lately. Hopefully the offense can bail him out before this game gets out of hand.

Cochise
Verlander has pitched one more inning than Javy yet has thrown half as many pitches.
29andPoplar
Well pretty much everything has gone wrong thus far. Unfortunately Detroit is talented and is due some breaks, they seem to be getting them. Vazquez couldn't put Cabrera away and then our Cabrera wasn't expecting the throw from Ramirez. A good at bat by Miguel Cabrera and a not so good non execution by Orlando Cabrera. Also a bad mistake to Marcus Thames, who seems to be looking for that rolling breaking ball. Also, and I know this is unfair, but why wouldn't Brian Anderson take a pitch or two on his at bat? He hasn't seen much live pitching, there are two out, his pitcher just went through an arduous inning. Certainly not to exonerate the two hitters before him, but hey, if it's me I take a few pitches just to get the feel of live pitching again.
