Heads22
http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...94&sid=t494 Egbert strong early. http://birmingham.barons.milb.com/milb/sta...47&sid=t247 Day with a mediocre start, O'Malley decent enough in relief so far. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...wswafa_wilafa_1 No O from WS. http://intimidatorsbaseball.com/clubhouse/...lexafx_kanafx_1 Gallagher went deep. scenario
The Charlotte lineup is starting to look dangerous. Guys who were supposed to be hitting are starting to hit. Add Cook. A recipe for runs.
maggsmaggs
I am gonna call him Cookie. If he ever got to the majors and got an hanging curve, I can only imagine Hawk saying "Cookie got a cookie."

scenario
Outstanding game for Jack Egbert tonight... 7 innings; 0 runs; 5 hits; 9 K's; 0 walks Charlotte may be very well positioned to make a run at the 2nd half title in the IL. With the hitting kicking in, adding Cook, Egbert back in form, plus Clayton Richard in the rotation... They are a MUCH improved team. scenario
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 09:44 PM) If the Sox continue to be in the race, they could see some big subtractions on the roster.... Who? I don't see anybody leaving Charlotte until September unless it's to cover an injury. Our major league roster is pretty stable at this point. NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 08:51 PM) Who? I don't see anybody leaving Charlotte until September unless it's to cover an injury. Our major league roster is pretty stable at this point. 50/50 on Getz replacing Ozuna. Also, there's bound to be a few bullpen moves here and there. NorthSideSox72
Are they trying to convert Day to a starter?
JPN366
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 08:19 PM) I am gonna call him Cookie. If he ever got to the majors and got an hanging curve, I can only imagine Hawk saying "Cookie got a cookie." Ed Collari (Warthogs) and Curt Bloom (Barons) already beat you to it. scenario
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 09:12 AM) Are they trying to convert Day to a starter? Could be just trying to give him more work to get him back on track.
