This guy pitching looks like an idiot.

And so does the guy batting.

I was a little annoyed that we called up Wise. But I'm really annoyed he's starting over BA. What is Ozzie's beef with BA?

He just missed having a perfect hit and run.

Have had the game on in the background, so haven't been paying full attention but I just heard Mientwicz (needs more consonants, I assume) is playing right freaking field. I knew the Pirates were bad, but they're letting him play RF? Absurd.

Please stop me if this has been discussed at length already...

What's Ozzie trying to prove by leaving Javy in the game? I really hope we start to cut down on the innings pitched to keep these guys fresh.

I think Ozzie has a bet with Scioscia about who can use their pens less.

His swing is all messed up right now.

You can see how off-balanced he is. He's jumping out at the pitcher so early on his swing, and it's not compact. This is also leading to the swing being so loopy.

Well thank god he has a wealth of info to lean on to help him remedy that swing in short notice. I figure this slump is short lived, and he will be fixed in no time. The drills to get him to square up the ball are being devised in the dugout as we speak.
