Buehrle>Wood
Per the Sun-times C- AJP 1B- Derek Lee 2B- Alexei 3B- Aramis Ramirez SS- Ryan Theriot RF- Koisuke Fukudome CF- Reed Johnson LF- Carlos Quentin Super Sub- Mark DeRosa SU- Carlos Marmol C- Bobby Jenks Manager- Lou Piniella They forgot the starting pitcher in their original article(oops), but today they said it would be Dumpster. Also, they have voting for the all city team up in the website. I know we've wrecked those a couple of times.
daa84
i think id rather have dye over fukudome Edited June 19, 2008 by daa84
Buehrle>Wood
I would definitly take Swish over Johnson. Even with his poor first couple months, he has still managed to put up mostly better numbers than Johnson.

dasox24
Can't argue with that too much, but Crede and Ramirez are having very similar years (if Crede was his usual self at defense, i think he'd get the nod for sure) so that's a toss-up. I hate to say it, but Soto is better than AJ. And I'd take Dye over Fukudome. Swisher/Reed is also a toss-up...
DaTank
Yeah...Soto is beating A.J. in a lot of offensive categories except average. As much as I love A.J., Soto deserves it a little more.
GoodAsGould
I think Id take Soto at catcher, Cabrera at SS, and Swisher at CF
knightni
QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 04:36 AM) I think Id take Soto at catcher, Cabrera at SS, and Swisher at CF Theriot's doing pretty well at SS. If his average wasn't so pitiful, I'd suggest Swish as well. Dye is definitely superior to Fukudome. While Marmol is very good, Linebrink's getting the snub. southsider2k5
Dempster as the starter? Give me Contreras, Danks, or Floyd. I definately take Soto at C and Cabrera at SS as well.
lostfan
Fukudome over Dye is not a slam dunk. Fukudome's OPS+ is 118, Dye's is 119. Dye beats Fukudome in slugging, Fukudome beats Dye in OBP.

Controlled Chaos
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 18, 2008 -> 11:44 PM) I would definitly take Swish over Johnson. Even with his poor first couple months, he has still managed to put up mostly better numbers than Johnson. I'm a huge fan of Swish and I would take him over Johnson, but not because of the numbers argument....I mean Swish has 14 games and 58AB's on Johnson...he should have overall better numbers, with the exception of avg and that's where Swish is behind 40 points. Not for long though...Swish has found his groove.

RockRaines
QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Jun 18, 2008 -> 11:09 PM) Yeah...Soto is beating A.J. in a lot of offensive categories except average. As much as I love A.J., Soto deserves it a little more. He's better defensively as well, its a no-brainer to take soto. My team 1B-Lee 2B-Alexei (close with DeRosa, Im taking just Alexei's full time hitting stats, and he's superior defensively) SS-OC (mostly because of his defense) 3B-A-ram RF-f***UDome CF-Swish LF-Q C-Soto DH-Soriano/Crede Loogy-Logan Roogy-Dotel SU-Line and Marmol-honestly they are both awesome CL-Jenks Rotation- 1. Z 2. Danks 3. Dumpster-RLR is the reason he's 3 4. Javy 5. Floyd/Contreras Their lineup is outproducing ours, but our pitching is markedly better, especially in the bullpen. You also have to consider the AL-NL difference in regards to ERA. Edited June 19, 2008 by RockRaines
