White Sox @ Cubs

Cubs got no one to trade for him. They got big hype prospect who have proven nothing. He ain't going to the Cubs unless they give up Vitters + more and they ain't giving up Vitters who is having issues in the minors.

I think the Cubs will just go out and get a guy like Paul Byrd from the Indians, a vet, and in the offseason, sign Sabathia.

They could do what the Astros did when they got Tejada. Something like C.C. for Murton, Hill, Ceda, Veal, Colvin

I could see Vitters, Murton, Pie, and Gallagher for Sabathia, and then Marshall for Byrd.

Byrd wouldn't be an upgrade...they'll go for the biggest names out there.

Keep letting Aramis extend those arms. No need to pitch inside.

Dude, where's the green?

BTW, it's fine that we lost this and just got swept. A 1.5 game lead is better than no lead even when we just had a 6.5 game lead 2 weeks ago.

Hitting him would be meaningless at this point. How about getting him out with our excellent pitching staff and bullpen?

Meaningless? I can't exactly speak for the rest of the guys and gals on this board, but it would mean a lot- it'd show we actually have balls.

Other than Danks, all of our pitching has been garbage all series... Granit they cant carry you all year round, but our bullpen has looked like the '07's version. The Cubs probably are the best NL team, but we can play them better than this!! It better look different next weekend.

Sorry, I just don't get how a sweep is fine as long as we're in first.

Brian we proved with our play we have no balls.

That's true, also.

The Indians will keep him, the teams in the AL Central smell blood. We face Sowers, Lee and Sabathia at home next week.

Well, I like our odds for the game against Sowers at least. Sowers is just bad, I have no idea how he was a 1st round draft pick, let alone top 10.
