fathom
Look at the lineup we trotted out there tonight. That's not a very good lineup. We're missing 60+ homers with PK and Thome out of the lineup. When you factor in that Crede was brutal this weekend, and Swisher's been a disaster....it's hard to see how this team can play first place caliber of baseball for the next few weeks. claydude14
We'll sweep the Dodgers, everything will be fine and dandy, then the Cubs will sweep us again, it will be all doom and gloom, and the ridiculous streakiness will continue all season as we pound the teams we're supposed to beat and lose to the real contenders. UGH.

Yoda
In '05 we had Garcia who was a road warrior and could be looked upon to step it up when needed. This year we don't seem to have one pitcher who has the balls to at least give a hint of wanting to be the show stopper. This team needs to be lit up the ass . . . quick

BearSox
Okay, I see only two things happening vs. the dodgers. Either we sweep them easily and everything once again is fine in White Sox land (until we fall apart again), or we get our asses handed to us and panic really starts to break out. He should shut his mouth, as he should have been given one on Patterson's infield single.

Frankensteiner
Was told earlier: "You win some, you lose some. Get over it." That's brilliant. Maybe the Sox could have used that as their marketing slogan after last season. Would have gone over real well with the fan base, imo. The worst thing to come out of this series, other than the losses themselves, are the terrible outings from Contreras and Vazquez. I don't want to hear any more s*** about Vazquez being some great, underrated pitcher. Had a good season last year but this is the Vazquez from 3 of the last 4 years (i.e. the real Vazquez). Good arm, some good months, some bad. Certainly not an ace. No way is he our best pitcher. With Contreras, I think he will be fine if there's no injury. I just hope he's not trying to play through something because as we've seen an injury can throw him off completely.

We never know who we're gonna get out there with him....same with the offense though I guess.

Hopefully our guys can forget about this series and we can get it going again in LA. Minny is on a roll so we got to start winning some games again. Rowand44
QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 11:08 PM) Javy Grossman. We never know who we're gonna get out there with him....same with the offense though I guess. Javy and JC are struggling right now. I'm not very confident in Contreras but I'll bet that Javy finishes with an era under 4 this year. He's had 4 below average starts in a row now but none of them were horrible, it's not like he got absolutely crushed. He'll be fine
