SoxFan1
Weaver pitching for the Angels, Billingsley for the Dodgers. Weaver has a no-hitter going, but the Angels are down 1-0. 7th inning rolls around, Weaver is up to bat, and they pinch-hit Figgins for him. So the no-hitter is still alive, but the Angels are losing.
Heads22
It'd be weird to have Saito come in in the top of the ninth to preserve his team having no hits if it holds.
Heads22
Angels one away, more than likely.
Heads22
No hitter more than likely.
SoxFan1
If Saito gets the save, the Dodgers will win 1-0 while getting no-hit.

whitesoxfan101
It's technically not a no hitter since the Angels only pitched 8 innings (I think that's a recent rule change actually), but still amazing stuff.
witesoxfan
only the 4th time ever, and the only one where two pitchers combined on the no-hitter The last time was Matt Young in 1992, and the time before that, the Sox were no-hit by Andy Hawkins and scored 4 runs. knightni
I remember the Yanks/Sox game with Andy Hawkins. Jesse Barfield and Jim Leyritz's OF defense was pretty hilarious.
shipps
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 11:47 PM) It's technically not a no hitter since the Angels only pitched 8 innings (I think that's a recent rule change actually), but still amazing stuff. Yeah kinda weird they felt the need to make a rule like that.MLB will not acknowledge it as a no hitter.
chw42
That was more than weird... However, the Sox won a game like that against the Yankees in 1990.
