Brian
We caught a break. Not sure if he should of been tossed or not, but rules are rules.

joejoesox
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 06:38 PM) Come on Joe, got get one in and one over. Do your job here, shorten up the swing and knock it. crede always has only about 1 and a half hands on the bat, his bottom hand is hanging off the handle, he has one of the longest swings in our lineup, he needs to seriously consider shortening it up a bit if he wants his average to go up and with that said, crede couldn't handle the high heater, K
maggsmaggs
Seriously Crede, piss poor. Contact scores a run there, come on.
fathom
Crede just struggles against LHP for some weird reason. No surprise that Crede and Swisher can't get them in, as they're both worthless against LHP.

maggsmaggs
Jeezus, great situational hitting. We should have two runs if not for poor batting. Be a hero Alexei.

joejoesox
gonna see a lot of high strikes here to Alexei, that's my prediction, they exposed his swing yesterday with those high fastballs edit: first pitch swinging, i kinda wish Alexei took more pitches, he just seems overconfident that he can crush anything pitched to him, and that will catch up to him sooner rather than later Edited June 30, 2008 by joesaiditstrue

fathom
Well, that was freaking awful. Not only that, if Cubs go on to win, they'll credit Lou for firing up the team.

Heads22
That was freaking horrible. So now no one will be on base for BA, who will undoubtedly rack up the hits tonight. Over/under on BA TB @ 9.
maggsmaggs
Seriously we should do want the Twins do. In BP they practice every situation and that's probably why they lead in the league in average with runner's in scoring position. In that situation, ground balls score runs, but of course we K and pop up.
fathom
If PK is out for an extended period with his side, I hope we call up Eldred to face LHP. I can't stand watching Swisher and Anderson in the lineup every game against LHP.

The Beast
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 06:39 PM) Haha Lou. No way should he have been thrown out there. I hate the Cubs, but I love Lou. You do not come out of the dugout to argue balls and strikes even if you are right. Never, good call by that Home plate umpire, I would have said "eat s*** and take the night off, fat f***." southsideirish71
If our hitters could actually shorten their swing on 2 strikes, and make contact it would be great. The amazing whitesox popup attack.
