Yeah... that was just kinda more insult to injury IMO. edit: I missed him actually getting tossed, I thought he got tossed on that first DP when Cedeno or whoever it was was obviously safe, I left the room right after that Edited June 30, 2008 by lostfan

Friend of Nordhagen
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 08:47 PM) ATTENTION NL CENTRAL: Throw INSIDE to the Cubs. ATTENTION AL CENTRAL: Don't f*** with us at home. It's so funny that you say this. I mean, for years -- seriously, years -- I've watched that piece of garbage Aramis Ramirez make stacks of money because pitchers don't pitch him on the inner half. I seriously wonder what these advance scouts do at the park.
elrockinMT
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 02:48 AM) From the bottom of my heart, thanks White Sox! I wish I had thought to say that first. But, you are so right fathom. This was just a great weekend. The talk will now be turning to an all-Chicago World Series.

I don't care that he was heading back to the dugout, he had already come out to b****. Sorry, bye bye. I understand that...balls and strikes are one thing...but check swings IMO fall under another category...plus...Lou walking back to the dugout. If that's the rule (check swings)...I think it's wrong. Regardless....I'm not losing any sleep....I'll sleep like a friggin baby tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wanne
Did I just hear Steve Phillips say that he didn't think the Twins or Tigers would catch the Sox?!?!?!?!??!....that the Sox SHOULD win the division?!?!?!?
joejoesox
QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 08:54 PM) It's so funny that you say this. I mean, for years -- seriously, years -- I've watched that piece of garbage Aramis Ramirez make stacks of money because pitchers don't pitch him on the inner half. I seriously wonder what these advance scouts do at the park. he wasn't 0-for tonight because we pitched him inside, it was more because Mark kept Aramis honest by not pitching to the same part of the plate (outside) with the same velocity (fastball) like we did at wrigley. mark was going in/out/in/in/out/out while changing speeds on his pitches, and not allowing aramis to focus on one area of the plate, that's how you get any hitter out. mark was absolutely dominant tonight
DBAHO
BOOO YAH!!!!! Buehrle has been fantastic in the month of June, and that continued tonight. Keep it up please Mark, because you are this team's ace and we need you pitching like that. Quentin another solo shot, and BA!!!!!!!!!!! Let's keep the momentum going because we've got 2 teams in the Tigers and Twins who are going to be snapping at our heels for the rest of the season. lostfan
The Twins are like an obnoxious rabid dog that you can't seem to get rid of, always seems to be in your way wherever you go. Hopefully someone can get a shotgun, take them out back, and put them out of their misery.
iamshack
QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 09:03 PM) Did I just hear Steve Phillips say that he didn't think the Twins or Tigers would catch the Sox?!?!?!?!??!....that the Sox SHOULD win the division?!?!?!? Steve Phillips is a fan of the White Sox. He always says positive things about us when he can. As for Lou, I'll bet he was getting a little lost when he came out to argue the checked swing. I guess he loses his way when he goes out on the field so he has his coaches and players wave their arms for him so he can find the steps back into his own dugout. It's like the funniest thing ever when you see them all waving to him...

whitesoxbrian
QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) I saw that....made me smile. Agreed. The last 6 games before the ASB and the 6 games after the ASB for us are vs KC and TEX. We should win all 4 of those series's with maybe a sweep in there. The Twins 6 before and 6 after are vs Boston, Detroit, Texas, and the Yankees. Unfortunately, the 6 before and 6 after for the Tigers are vs Cleveland, Minnesota, Baltimore, and KC. Hopefully we can be 3+ games up at the ASB and then maybe gain another one during the 6 games after.
