Winning Ugly
http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/minor...s/hotsheet.html Not the #1 prospect, but the hottest one as of late. Nice!
southsider2k5
You go JR. All though it kind of scares me because you KNOW if Reed stays hot, the odds are they let Maggs walk away...

SI1020
Hopefully this guy makes it because I'm losing faith in our farm system. It's gone from supposedly one of the best in baseball to one of the worst. I'm hopeful for Reed, Webster and maybe Honel and Cotts. After that the cupboard looks mighty bare to me. Your off on this one...... they're are alot of guys in low-A ball who are having some dynamite seasons....... the only thing that disturbs me is that... not many of them are position players. (hence drafting so many this year) I think that alot of our mL talent is now at the ML level and it has tapped our system out a little bit. even at that.... our system is still 10-15 range. You're right. I'm not an expert on our low minor prospects. Hope you're correct when you say there's talent there. We need it.

This is one of those guys that does everything right. He is patient, has speed, can play defense and has a nice compact swing. I think this guy has a high chance of sucess. Honel is another guy that really has a high rate of sucess as long as he stays healthy.
Joel
http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/minor...s/hotsheet.html Not the #1 prospect, but the hottest one as of late. Nice! This how I see a lineup in 2005-2006 Catcher-Olivo and Rivera 1st- Borchard 2nd-Harris SS-Lopez 3rd-Crede RF-Maggs CF-Anderson or Reed LF-Anderson or Reed. This lineup might not happen till 2006 or 2007 but this what i see in the future.

It's not even close to one of the worst. It is middle of the pack at worst and more likely will pop back into the top 10 after this year. If the lower minors are stacked with talent great. I can't remember where I read that the Sox system was now ranked near the bottom. You folks who follow this more than I do, believe me I hope you're right. I'm a White Sox fan. Can't kick the habit.
Cerbaho-WG
If you had had had to predict a 2007 lineup (like BA does every year) it would look something like this: 1B-Thomas 2B-Hummel/Yan/take your best guess SS-Gonzalez (Bleh!) 3B-Crede C-Olivo LF-Reed CF-Anderson RF-Ordonez SP-Honel RP-I hope Marte Sox still need to address the middle-infield, because Andy Gonzalez and Pedro Lopez don't look like they're future studs. MnSoxFan
3 more years, I think Lopez surprises you, he will get stronger and is a solid player right not. I agree on AGon, he will not be our SS.
Cerbaho-WG
Lopez really sucked wind in the early part of the year for Kanny, but has impressed me by raising up his average to around .270. Still hate the .331 OBP and SLG percentage. 10 caught stealings isn't to great, either.

I think it might have something to do with it being that players don't really become top notch prospects until they reach AA. When you reach AA, that is make or break. You succeed, you can become a top prospect. If not, you are dicked.

Jim Fainter
Hey, guys, we have a real live HITTER in Charlotte right now who is around .385. We have not hit at all in 3 out of the last 4 games. Any other team struggling to hit .240 would bring him up. (Hankins)

Thats why i put Harris at 2nd instead of him. Plus I see Yan as a player the Rangers will pick because they have no 2nd baseman for the long term
