Limbaugh to sign $400,000,000 deal

Interesting note I saw on another site speculates that the deal was structured with the 100 million up front as to avoid the Obama tax increases. By taking the money today he would save $17 million in taxes as opposed to if Obama passes the tax increases he has proposed.

i had no idea radio personalities were responsible for this much revenue.

Seems that asking a music station to spend $5,000 on the 24/7 music they play is a bargain ;)

so, how much will he be making after Obama gets into office and raises taxes?

About 15% less from the sounds of it, just on income alone, and then when he invests part of it, probably 15% less then that because he's going to raise capital gains too from the sounds of it. And then, add abother 3.325% when you add the FICA adjustment. Oh, and then when he dies, his heirs will get the s*** taxed out of that, too!! But it's ok, the asshole makes too much money anyway, and those poor people need it for government provided (insert program here) because the government should take care of us all by redistributing wealth from those evvvvvvvvvvvvil f***ing rich people!!! :)

I forget, is Obama running for the Democrat party or the Socialist party?

Except that is was only the 'small' stations that would get charged the $5000 flat fee. If it was $5000 per station, I don't think the stink would be half as much as it is. The clear channel stations would certainly be charged something several times higher.

True, but do you think any would be paying "Rush Limbaugh" money for Rush's Spirit of the Radio? The Beatles catalog = zero value. Rush = $400,000,000.

Thanks to ASCAP/BMI licenses (which in 2000, cost a small commercial station in a market of less than 50,000 people somewhere in the neighborhood of $12,000), Beatles catalogs are already valued and paid for.

Here's something to consider: Rush Limbaugh's show comes with fees from over 600 stations, and sells commercials that play on over 600 stations every weekday - and establishes a radio listening audience that is eclipsed only by Morning Edition on NPR.

That will buy a lot of fuel for the new G550 he is buying.
