SnB
soooo sloppy int he offensive zone, every pass seems like its an inch off target
Metz
What a sick goal .. that got me out of my seat .. have to love Havlet when he does good in the red sweater instead of him being injured
whitesoxbrian
Havlat is so good when healthy. Duncs with a +2 today, I believe (2 assists, too). I love the nuts we're playing with tonight.

zenryan
down 3-0 after one in Montreal, the Bruins came back only to lose in a SO. Really good to see Boston battle back and not just roll over against our arch enemies.
southsider2k5
So this might be the best possible scenario for the Hawks right now with Khabi playing really well... Could he have some trade value finally?
Steve9347
That game last night really will be a turning point. Marty Havlat once again is proving when healthy he's at least a point-per-game player. I hope he stays healthy... that goal was sick. DBAHO
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 16, 2008 -> 07:09 AM) So this might be the best possible scenario for the Hawks right now with Khabi playing really well... Could he have some trade value finally? Yeah, if the Hawks play their cards right, they could hold onto Khabi until the deadline and really get some nice pieces for him possibly, if they traded him to a contender. Could he have some trade value finally? If he plays at the level he did in Tampa for an extended period (say two months or so), there will be teams lining up to add him for the playoff run. whitesoxfan101
per WSCR, Denis Savard has been fired. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68286 Edited October 16, 2008 by whitesoxfan101
RockRaines
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 16, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) per WSCR, Denis Savard has been fired. Wow. Does that mean the technique of constantly dumping the puck in the zone over and over is done with?
The Critic
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 16, 2008 -> 11:14 AM) per WSCR, Denis Savard has been fired. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68286 At least he went out a winner? Seems like a dumb move to keep him around all summer and then fire him 4 games into the season.
The Critic
According to The Hockey News, they've hired Joel Quenneville to replace him. http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/1879...uenneville.html Edited October 16, 2008 by The Critic
Steve9347
I would suppose it had a lot to do with how the team has looked. Pucks bouncing everywhere, no luck on the powerplay (despite endless amounts of PP talent)... I'm sure there will be a huge hire here somewhere... Isn't Quenneville part of the organization now? whitesoxfan101
Other than the fact that Kane makes me feel old by pointing out he was 13 in the spring of 2002, I love this commercial.
whitesoxbrian
This was a tough one to swallow. Being up 3-1 in the 3rd and losing in a shootout hurts. I liked what I saw from Kane and Campbell, but Toews hasn't done anything this year. It's not going to get any easier tomorrow.

whitesoxbrian
Good win tonight- I was there. That's 6 points in 2 games for Kane. Keep it up Wednesday vs Edmonton, boys. I'll be at the UC again.
MurcieOne
Seems like Tazer is pressing a little bit, 0 Goals so far this year. Understandable, he's a 20 y/o captain, his coach was fired etc... Lets hope he gets it going soon.
DBAHO
Any major changes anyone who can watch the games can see in terms of style / strategy with Quenneville as coach instead of Savvy?
MurcieOne
QUOTE (DBAHO @ Oct 20, 2008 -> 09:56 AM) Any major changes anyone who can watch the games can see in terms of style / strategy with Quenneville as coach instead of Savvy? Admittedly, I didn't watch the game that closely... but from what I did see, it did look like they were playing less dump and chase. Considering our team is small and agile (at least our talented players are small and agile) it makes sense for them to carry the puck over the line than to send them in to get their heads banged in.
