fathom
QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 5, 2008 -> 12:57 AM) Now Buehrle is getting smacked with the pitches up. Only a matter of time. Can we never wear these jerseys again? We look like the Padres....and their horrible offense.
Brian
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 05:57 PM) Why? He's one of the best low fastball hitters in the game. Just a horrendous pitch call. He hit a pitch up for a homer last night. Better shot of a DP if it's down, just not middle of the plate like that was.

fathom
QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 5, 2008 -> 12:59 AM) Mark Buehrle your Sox pitcher of the month June, unfortunately it's July. I can't believe no one has gone out there and told him to stop overthrowing. From the first batter tonight, you could tell he was throwing TOO hard. Ever since benchwarmerjim complained about him, his numbers have gone up. Edited July 5, 2008 by Brian

fathom
Why in the hell are we bunting to give up the first out with the #9 and struggling #1 hitter coming up?
fathom
These hitters continue to be baffled by Blanton's offspeed stuff. At least we gave up the first out via bunt.

fathom
Well that was just terrible. He was too worried about the runner on first, and laid a cookie in there for the #9 hitter. Of course, if Dye wasn't running in quick sand, Gonzalez never reaches base. This is beginning to remind me of the A's series in 2005 prior to the ASB. fathom
4-1 A's now...just a mediocre performance by Buehrle. Mark Ellis has looked horrible this series, I'm not sure why you put him on.
