varitek and his 219 avg make it over AJ...what a joke

This is the biggest travesty in years, IMO. Obvious favoritism between manager and player.

I also have a problem with Floyd or Danks getting snubbed by Ervin Santana.

Varitek over AJ is the crime. Don't see how Joe compares to an outfielder and a catcher.

It's a crime that he makes it while JD and AJ don't.

But yes, the true crime is Varitek. If I heard right he was voted in by the players :huh

To me, the word "snub" is used way too often.

There is so much talent in the majors, that there's this whole tier of guys who can claim they were snubbed. Therefore, they're not snubs, it's just that they were all roughly tied and one had to make it.

It's only a snub if it's a really sizeable disparity. Ervin Santana is maybe a little lower with most stats than Floyd, but looks a little better with others, including innings.

Also further proof that selecting All-Stars never has, and never will make any sense. Dont get me wrong, I love Crede, but this isnt the year he should be at the All-Star game. His defensive numbers are just atrocious, and the fact that Crede is known for being more of a defensive player should exclude him from the allstar game. JMO of course

Is that cookie supposed to be the monster from cloverfield?

Why don't they just split the team between the Yankees and Red Sox and be done with it?

There's only 3 Yankees, but 7 Red Sox players.

Man, 7 Cub players and 7 Red Sox players, I think I'm going to Puke

Terry Francona is a joke. I think he has a lot to do with Varitek going.

Jason Varitek: .219 7 HR 27 RBI .301 OBP .661 OPS

A.J. Pierzynski: .299 7 HR 32 RBI .338 OBP .784 OPS

Dioner Navarro: .318 4 HR 33 RBI .370 OBP .805 OPS

You tell me who really deserves to go...
