lostfan
So did Uggla have the worst possible game or what? 0-4, 3 K's, an inning-ending GIDP with a runner on 3rd which would've ended the game in spite of his 2 errors in the bottom of the same inning, and then another error later for good measure. Geez. You kind of feel bad for him.

Kalapse
According the the Elias Sports Bureau yesterday Dan Uggla became the first player in major league history to record 3 errors, 3 Ks and 1 GIDP in the same game. (not just All-Star games but ANY game)

There was a poster on this site that wanted to move Fields to 2B in Charlotte "to see what we had." I cringe at that thought. We aren't THAT desperate for middle IF prospects. whitesoxfan101
QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Jul 16, 2008 -> 10:36 PM) thats a great pic I would agree it's a great picture, but also very strange. Strange bedfellows can be made when World Series home field is on the line.

Geez. You kind of feel bad for him. Even though I wanted the AL to win, I've followed the Marlins since their inaugural year as my "NL team". I felt real bad after Uggla made those two error immediately following his GIDP with teh bases loaded. When the NL got out of that inning I was actually kind of glad so he didnt have to be the goat. No one scored b/c of any of his errors
dasox24
QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Jul 16, 2008 -> 10:36 PM) thats a great pic It was so weird (yet, kinda cool) when that happened to see a Sox player celebrating like that with a Twins player. Only in an All-Star game...
