B-Ham beating Huntsville 3-1 in the 3rd. Poreda pitching, looks good so far. W-S was postponed by rain. Kanny is off. Elizabethton @ Bristol, just about to start. Martinez goes for Bristol. scenario Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Look at Jason Bourgeois' splits... OMG is he hot. Almost insane. Batted .393 in June; .442 OBP; .590 SLG; 1.032 OPS... this is in 117 at-bats. bighurt4life Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Poreda's looking good so far in AA. He's only had one really bad game so far, pretty good strikeout numbers and few walks. That's what he needs to do to set up the off speed pitches. Approximately 25% of his 94 pitches were offspeed pitches; that percentage has been pretty consistent for the past few games. Ground outs/Fly outs was 11-2. In the 7th inning he kind of lost his rhythm. He gave up a leadoff walk (of course, the runner scored). This was probably his overall best pitching performance, even though he didn't get the win. When he gets a few starts under his belt in Charlotte, he's fine! At 24 years old, and having 3-4 years of experience under his belt, Haeger will be around for a long time.
