The Democrat Thread

Ugh, I really hate that s***. I'm 100% city boy and I wouldn't have it any other way. Does that mean I'm assumed to not be patriotic as people from the country? Do I have to prove it or something? Am I not from the "real America"? Where the f*** is this place, anyway?

Oh, by the way, not only is my dad a hard-working blue-collar guy who's worked in factories most of his adult life, but I'm also a vet and oh by the way, I never wave my DD214 around as proof of my patriotism, except to make the kind of point I'm making right now. To Gov. Palin I must be some kind of mythical creature.

Seriously, this kind of mentality pisses me off a lot.

Oh for crying out loud. Yes, she just intended to insult 60% of America right there. WOOT ~ SARAH PALIN SUCKS!!! LOLERZ#@#%!!!!!!!

Just like RSO's guns, religion, and bible's comment a few months back. Can we stop now?

If "bitter" and "clinging" was such a huge issue, then Palin calling anyone who doesn't live in a small town less American should be a huge issue.

The point is neither should be an issue.

No, see, her comment really isn't unique. It's just the latest version of this bulls*** superiority complex Republicans have been carrying for a while now. I hate it. People dissing city-dwellers as less patriotic and less "real." f***. That.

In the McCain-Palin tradition of exciting their followers into verbal abuse, racism, and violence....

An ACORN community organizer received a death threat and the liberal activist group's Boston and Seattle offices were vandalized Thursday, reflecting mounting tensions over its role in registering 1.3 million mostly poor and minority Americans to vote next month.

Republicans, including presidential candidate John McCain, have verbally attacked the group repeatedly in recent days, alleging a widespread vote-fraud scheme, although they've provided little proof. It was disclosed Thursday that the FBI is examining whether thousands of fraudulent voter-registration applications submitted by some ACORN workers were part of a systematic effort or isolated incidents.

The good news there is that the FBI is checking to see if any widespread organized action really was underway, or if this was just workers who are bad at their jobs combined with required submittals.

Some would consider the FBI intervening before an election a good thing. You'd have to be optimistic though.

Not until all Rs are converted to the one true religion.

After Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann's McCarthy-like tirade on Hardball yesterday I went ahead and donated to her Democratic opponent.

From the linked story:

What makes the incident even more bizarre is that Bachmann is in a close congressional race and just this past week offered warm words to the Illinois Democrat. "If the presidency would somehow go to Barack Obama, I would welcome him to the 6th District as well," she said after a debate. "As a matter of fact, I would put my hand on his shoulder and give him a kiss if he wanted to."

If she is willing to kiss a known "Anti-American", I have to question whether or not SHE hates America!!!!

Out side groups go racial...

According to the election analysis site FiveThirtyEight.com, some Pennsylvanians have complained about a robocall that impersonates Barack Obama and includes racial epithets:

"Over in Indiana, PA and Northern Cambria, PA, volunteers fielded complaints of a massive wave of ugly robocalls both paid for by John McCain's campaign and those paid for by third parties. The third party call was interactive, and purported to be from Barack Obama himself. The call starts out reasonably, and then "Obama" asks what the listener thinks is the most important issue. Whatever the response, "Obama" then launches into a profane and crazed tirade using "n***er" and other shock language."
