The message of the comic is that Romney's 47% of irresponsible, lazy, worthless Americans living off of government subsidization because they don't pay income taxes includes guys like him. The economy doesn't need more guys like Romney who continue to hoover up most of the wealth in the country while receiving the lion's share of the benefits of tax expenditures.

I think most of his $4m charitable donations went to the LDS. Given the size of the commercial operations they run, the amount of money they spend on fancy buildings and the political campaigning they bankroll, I think classifying it as selfless charity is a bit dubious.

Too bad you don't spend as much time explaining it away when it goes the other way.

“I appreciate the fact that she is on the ground, safe and sound. And I don’t think she knows just how worried some of us were,” Romney said. “When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s no — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem. So it’s very dangerous.

Seriously, you f***ing people are delusional. The guy's wife was in an emergency situation, let's mock the f*** out of it.

while i agree with you, you'd do the same thing in the reverse situation. i mean hell, you don't think the guy's an american citizen! ;)

This "unskewedpolls" thing is funny. It's the Republicans trying hard to create their very own reality. Supposedly ALL the polls, including Rasmussen and Fox News, are biased and over sample Democrats.

For s***s and giggles... In states that ask for a party on registration forms, there are 41.5 million democrats and 28.9 Republicans. Republicans just call themselves "independent" and go vote a straight republican ticket every 2 years.

True The Vote and voter harrassment

This is how it works today: In an ostensible hunt for voter fraud, a Tea Party group, True the Vote, descends on a largely minority precinct and combs the registration records for the slightest misspelling or address error. It uses this information to challenge voters at the polls, and though almost every challenge is baseless, the arguments and delays frustrate those in line and reduce turnout.

The thing that’s different from the days of overt discrimination is the phony pretext of combating voter fraud. Voter identity fraud is all but nonexistent, but the assertion that it might exist is used as an excuse to reduce the political rights of minorities, the poor, students, older Americans and other groups that tend to vote Democratic.

This photo ID business really bothers me. I don't mind that you have to prove who you are, but there are other ways in which you can do that. This is a problem for a very specific group of people and reeks of our past history of suppressing the vote of the poor and minorities. We still love suppressing the rights of anyone that isn't perfect.

Can't afford a photo ID? f*** you, no vote

Gay? f*** you, no marriage

If you can't afford an ID, it's free, in every state.

I should have been more clear. Can't afford a driver's license, the main reason anyone would get an ID beyond all the other things that identify themselves such as mail and whatever else they may have. It isn't easy for everyone to go to the DMV or wherever one obtains a free photo ID, especially when it never occurred to these folks that the people that have always let them vote suddenly don't like their old forms of ID
