MexSoxFan#1
Arkansas Legislative Republican candidate says in his book parents should be able to kill their rebellious children...you can't make this s*** up. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/08/c..._n_1948490.html The maintenance of civil order in society rests on the foundation of family discipline. Therefore, a child who disrespects his parents must be permanently removed from society in a way that gives an example to all other children of the importance of respect for parents. The death penalty for rebellious children is not something to be taken lightly. The guidelines for administering the death penalty to rebellious children are given in Deut 21:18-21: This passage does not give parents blanket authority to kill their children. They must follow the proper procedure in order to have the death penalty executed against their children. I cannot think of one instance in the Scripture where parents had their child put to death. Why is this so? Other than the love Christ has for us, there is no greater love then [sic] that of a parent for their child. The last people who would want to see a child put to death would be the parents of the child. Even so, the Scrpture [sic] provides a safe guard to protect children from parents who would wrongly exercise the death penalty against them. Parents are required to bring their children to the gate of the city. The gate of the city was the place where the elders of the city met and made judicial pronouncements. In other words, the parents were required to take their children to a court of law and lay out their case before the proper judicial authority, and let the judicial authority determine if the child should be put to death. I know of many cases of rebellious children, however, I cannot think of one case where I believe that a parent had given up on their child to the point that they would have taken their child to a court of law and asked the court to rule that the child be put to death. Even though this procedure would rarely be used, if it were the law of land, it would give parents authority. Children would know that their parents had authority and it would be a tremendous incentive for children to give proper respect to their parents. StrangeSox
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) Arkansas Legislative Republican candidate says in his book parents should be able to kill their rebellious children...you can't make this s*** up. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/08/c..._n_1948490.html Again, today's Republican party FTW this one is better: http://wonkette.com/486378/gentleman-in-vi...-out-their-kids I’ll tell you what really need to do with these illegitimate families on welfar — give all the kids up for adoption and execute the parents.” I stare at him and blink in a glaze of shock. Just to be sure I heard him right, I ask him to repeat it, twice. “Yes, I mean it. Get rid of all of them, give the kids up for adoption, execute the parents, and you get rid of the problem.” (When I call him back to revisit the issue, he elaborates: “put the children up for adoption and execute the parents, and word would get out soon” that poor people shouldn’t have kids.) I did not say that I wanted to execute parents on welfare and give their kids up for adoption. I said that it would be better to execute the parents of an illegitimate child and put their child up for adoption. I believe executing the parents is a better solution than the Democratic solution of abortion and handing out condoms (birth control). Abortion represents the killing of the only innocent person associated with the adultery or fornication that has occurred. Democrats have never explained how they are going to get people to use the birth control they hand out. Why should a man use a desensitizing condom when he know his child can get on welfare. I am still looking for a realistic method from Democrats and Progressive to deal with the problem of illegitimate children.

Y2HH
I can't really speak for anyone else...but if you posed me the following question, "Are you doing better now than you were four years ago?", the answer is yes, with a few 'strings' attached. If it wasn't for the ever rising local taxes, fees, stickers, etc...I'd be doing better, but with them, I'm not. I don't blame the Obama administration for this, either. I suppose you could, if he'd been more successful getting more stimulus he could have plugged that into local governments to cover their tax shortfalls. Romney 2012! Romney 2012! Only they wouldn't have done that. They'd have taken that money and raised taxes/fees anyway. Besides, stimulus money is a great one time tent pole...but it's not recurring, so they still would need to find a way to cover their spending, especially when accounting for their completely unfunded pensions. mr_genius
http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2012...ch-suggests/?hp Oh this is too perfect. It sounds like a cliché, but if the results of a TiVo-based research study are to be believed, registered Republicans are very interested in golf. As for registered Democrats, they seem to be partial to cartoons

bmags
Over all, the Democratic list contained a lot of animated comedies — “The Cleveland Show,” “Family Guy,” “American Dad” — as well as lightly viewed but critically acclaimed sitcoms like “30 Rock” and “Community.” The favorite late-night show for Republicans was Jay Leno’s “Tonight” show. Soxbadger
I like cartoons, Survivor and X Factor. Arguably the 2 of most intelligent shows on tv, Simpsons and South Park, are cartoons. I also watch way more NCAA than NBA. This proves once again that I am neither a Republican nor Democrat, but instead a Demolican.
