I'm not sure about the impact of me posting on a Chicago White Sox message board will have on Trump's candidacy one way or the other.

Dont worry, there are oversensitive people all over the country having the same conversations.

Well, that's really the key difference. Women are routinely judged much more than men on their physical appearance, and Trump outright said he wouldn't vote for her because of the way she looks (before later backpedaling like the bold truth-teller that he is).

That tu quoque doesn't really address the issue, though.

edit: also, what Crimson said. This is the current front-runner of the GOP primary tossing around insults about anyone whom he sees as the opposition left and right.

edit2: it will be just as s***ty of him if/when he starts making Christie fat jokes. The guy is just an asshole and a bully with the maturity of a 5th grader.

Hillary did do the same thing ridiculing Trump's hair. I think it's obvious he's eventually going to flame out. It's not nice to go around blasting people like he's been doing more and more. He is acting like a teenage bully. We'll see where this leads but I still say The Donald at some point is gonna become old news and start falling like a rock. It will be funny to see if he makes a lame excuse and drops out of the race once his 15 minutes of (political) fame are up.

It's gonna be tough for reporters to call him on this stuff, cause as a bully, he fights them back hard, too, with insults.

I think his popularity shows that we (I'll speak for some people) are sick of traditional politics which in our minds means getting nothing done because of no leadership. Obama can't get much done cause everything he comes up with, the other side fights and claws to make sure it doesn't get passed. Donald is the complete opposite. He makes us think he'll get his way, be a tough leader and America might resemble a great nation again, instead of a country best known for the most horrificly insane people committing mass murder.

Can we all at least agree that saying this about his own daughter is a little f***ed up?

After I met Ivanka and praised her to her father, he said, "Yeah, she's really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father . . . "

Somehow I think Bill Clinton saying that about Chelsea would get a little bit of press....

Donald is pretty outrageous. If ANYBODY else says that s*** about his own daughter, he/she is a goner from the race. Instantly. Person is branded a psycho/predator type and that's that.

It's still a non-sequitir which is going on in America. Americans remain incredibly P.C. (the latest is Caitlyn Jenner blasted by Ellen for not being 100 percent in favor of gay marriage), yet Americans are loving Trump being so non P.C. So Hulk Hogan and the rest of the world have to watch their Ps and Qs at all times, and Trump can say whatever he wants and everybody laughs/applauds. What.A.Country.

Congrats to the Democrats. With a lot of help from Hollywood (Jimmy Fallon), Hillary got the most exposure of anybody on Wednesday night. If I were Bernie I'd be pissed! He should be the nominee. Why didn't Jimmy put both in his skit?

Hollywood doesn't even try to hide its bias. Hillary on Fallon the night of the Republican debates?? Priceless. Hillary couldn't have written this up ANY better. Appearances like that are better than 5 debates or countless commercials. Save your money, Hillary. Just keep booking these TV shows.

Trump did a skit with Fallon as well like less than a week ago.

Trump is a sideshow clown. He can't beat Hillary. Celebrities will love it if he's the candidate vs. Hillary. Fallon will probably put Trump on a zillion times to make sure he gets the nomination.

The timing of Hillary's appearance could not have been a coincidence.

Maybe if you keep repeating this you'll start to actually believe it.

Why would being on Jimmy Fallon a bunch of times get Donald Trump the nomination?

Of course it wasn't a coincidence. The candidate would absolutely want that, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with NBC playing for ratings either.

The premier episode of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert got by far the best ratings of the show's first week because it was the first show and it featured Jeb Bush. How unfair was that? CBS totally helped Jeb get a bigger audience than any other candidate. Could they be more in the Republican's pockets? It's sickening how all the media is so totally in the Republicans pockets.

Either that, or Jeb's campaign thought that was a good venue to go on because it would get a big audience and that's the kind of thing both campaigns and TV organizations want.

Steven Colbert's show? Yawn. We're talking the Tonight Show. Americana. Not some awful wannabee TV host.

Stephen Colbert? He lost me the minute it was exposed he's purposely mispronouncing his last name to seem elitist. Jeb is gonna be the candidate though, you are rite about that.

Um... Colbert took over for Letterman. You know this isn't his former show on Comedy Central right?

One of the reasons I fell out of interest with the Daily SHow was after a while you realized that nobody watched cable news, and he kept hitting on the low hanging fruit that frankly didn't matter that much while others were doing much more interesting things.

But then, I watched some of the debate last night and was thinking how ridiculous it is that we still allow so much of the presidential campaign narratives to the 24 hour news channels who have the candidates talk about nonsense issues for 3 hrs.

Today the Fed decided not to raise rates. It was a decision that probably meant more to the day to day lives of people than any of the crap talked about last night. Not even mentioned.

For kicks, could we get a nationally televised debate on youtube or something where real questions could be asked?

IIRC Someone did a debate in 2012 that was all questions submitted through FB and they were the best questions asked in any of the debates.

No offense, but it just dawned on me this could easily be our future lineup of Presidents.

Next Eight Years (2016-24): Hillary Clinton.

Eight Years after that (24-32): Michelle Obama.

Eight years after that: (32-40): Chelsea Clinton.

Eight Years after that (40-48): Obama's eldest daughter. Why not?
