So for those who received invites for the Grant Park rally, have you actually been emailed a ticket yet? I signed up when they sent me the invite and haven't seen anything yet.

Regardless if I get a ticket or not I will be down there with my wife and a group of friends...wearing my Sox cap of course. Gotta reprazent.

So the roll call for Tuesday so far is:

Also, I'll throw out a dark horse not mentioned...

Lisa Madigan, IL AG and former state senate cohort of Obama's, for US AG.

I'm looking forward to see her next move. I'd welcome her in the senate, but I'd like for her to become governor. I respect the job she's done.

As for the republicans, considering their candidates have been either inadequate or scum, why not run Joe Birkett. A little green but the guy seems at least to be legitimately clean.

Former Reagan Chief of Staff endorses Obama. Probably because he is also black.

Interviewed on MSNBC today, former Reagan chief of staff Ken Duberstein criticized Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for choosing Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate:

And for more fun, Dick Cheney...yes,that guy, decided it would be a good idea today to disclose his location and give a speech endorsing John McCain.

Yeah, I'm sure that's EXACTLY what the McCain Campaign needed.

"I'd like to congratulate Senator McCain on this endorsement because he really earned it. That endorsement didn't come easy. Senator McCain had to vote 90 percent of the time with George Bush and Dick Cheney to get it. He served as Washington's biggest cheerleader for going to war in Iraq, and supports economic policies that are no different from the last eight years. So Senator McCain worked hard to get Dick Cheney's support.

"But here's my question for you, Colorado: do you think Dick Cheney is delighted to support John McCain because he thinks John McCain's going to bring change? Do you think John McCain and Dick Cheney have been talking about how to shake things up, and get rid of the lobbyists and the old boys club in Washington?

"Colorado, we know better. After all, it was just a few days ago that Senator McCain said that he and President Bush share a 'common philosophy.' And we know that when it comes to foreign policy, John McCain and Dick Cheney share a common philosophy that thinks that empty bluster from Washington will fix all of our problems, and a war without end in Iraq is the way to defeat Osama bin Laden and the al Qaeda terrorists who are in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

"So George Bush may be in an undisclosed location, but Dick Cheney's out there on the campaign trail because he'd be delighted to pass the baton to John McCain. He knows that with John McCain you get a twofer: George Bush's economic policy and Dick Cheney's foreign policy -- but that's a risk we cannot afford to take."

Penn GOP goes against McCain's wishes....

I assume since McCain is such an honorable man that he will denounce this ad.

John McCain's healthcare plan will "blow up" the employer-based system and healthcare experts are not so hot on that idea.

Experts, however, fear that eliminating the tax advantage of employer-based coverage would prompt younger, healthier workers to leave their office plans. If that happened, costs for the remaining workers could skyrocket. Companies may drop coverage altogether.

But the McCain campaign fought back that idea with an even stranger defense:

Younger, healthier workers likely wouldn't abandon their company-sponsored plans, said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, McCain's senior economic policy adviser.

"Why would they leave?" said Holtz-Eakin. "What they are getting from their employer is way better than what they could get with the credit."

Nice to see a McCain presidency would have his priorities straight...

When one voter asked him what he would do to curb illegal immigration, he cautioned that there were not "twelve million handcuffs" to slap on everyone who's already here in violation of federal law. "I will make my highest priority getting immigration reform done, and that begins with securing our borders," he said.

OK, really, what are you accomplishing by adding these "must be black" clauses to your posts about these endorsements?

Because that's the only reason that Colin Powell endorsed Obama according to several right wing pundits.

Great, so revel in, and promote ignorance. That will make things better.

Seeing that I was posting in the Dem thread I was merely poking fun at the Limbaugh's of the world. Sorry to ruin your day.

Watching everyone from this board all of the way up to Barack Obama himself act just like the people they claim to be different from has pretty much ruined my next four years.
