and the Democrats obsession with Glenn Beck continues.

First off, I'm not a democrat or a liberal.

What should progressives do ignore Beck and hope the millions of people that watch him figure out that he is lying?

Again, I'll ask.

What did he lie about? You didn't like how he tried to link the book as a guide to how things unfolded -- only they DID unfold that way, whether it be coincidence or not. But the things outlined are not lies.

What I want to know what is the point of the video? Is he trying to prove that Obama is following a book that was written by a guy who was in prison? You say he's not lying in the video. I mean I can see that, but what is he getting at? I don't understand what he is getting at.

His point was the constant magician act of this administration. Basically, Beck's point was, "Look at my right hand and I'll show you what you want to see, meanwhile my left hand is doing the exact opposite."

What have we heard about the last 2 weeks? Two party crashers NOBODY should care about at the state dinner. What have we NOT heard about? An ex-felon, who wrote this book, which from to looks of it Obama is following as a near step-by-step guide, AT THAT SAME DINNER.

I think that was his point, yet despite that being his point -- you didn't even see it...because you saw what you wanted to see...and that's the game politicians play these days, democratic or republican.

Look here...no no no, not over there...you'll ruin the trick! LOOK HERE. IGNORE THERE.

So what he is saying is that Obama hired these party crashers to come to the White house to hide the fact that at the dinner party was a guy there who once served 5 months in prison. Who also happens to be the husband of a congress women.

All because Obama is secretly usually this book as a plan to turn America into a progressive utopia.

Well that makes perfect sense.

Not what he said at all.

You are really reaching.

But that's ok.

When it comes to this, there is no explanation that will do for you, let's just leave it at that.

'Obamaville' sign posted near homeless camp

Obamaville Sign Posted near Camped Out Homeless

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Someone has put a lot of thought into a welcome sign that may surprise you, it's in front of a homeless camp off I-25 in Colorado Springs.

Its message, "Welcome to Obamaville, Colorado's fastest growing community." Despite repeated calls no one could answer the question, who put up the sign?

To some homeless the sign's message says enough. Mark Limonez, a homeless man living in "tent city", says the sign doesn't make him feel good about trying to get back on his feet. "Guys are trying to work but there's not enough work out there, so they go pan handling or flag a sign" Limonez says, "I've never seen so many camps since I've been out in the streets - there's no money."

There are no logos on the front of the sign and no clues to where it comes from.

It's so very very sad that despite all the money this country spends -- we have places such as this. And they go largely ignored by the government, republican, democrat or otherwise.

Massive spending bills.

Massive deficits.

Massive debt.

Yet "homeless camps" are becoming a more and more normal thing.

How TRULY sad.

But hey -- f*** them -- we're too busy with cleaning the air and arguing about health care, that for better or worse, probably wont help people while they're STARVING TO DEATH AND HOMELESS IN THE UNITED STATES.

Apparently the government only believes in pay caps for other people...

For feds, more get 6-figure salaries

Average pay $30,000 over private sector

By Dennis Cauchon

USA TODAY

The number of federal workers earning six-figure salaries has exploded during the recession, according to a USA TODAY analysis of federal salary data.

Federal employees making salaries of $100,000 or more jumped from 14% to 19% of civil servants during the recession's first 18 months — and that's before overtime pay and bonuses are counted.

Federal workers are enjoying an extraordinary boom time — in pay and hiring — during a recession that has cost 7.3 million jobs in the private sector.

The highest-paid federal employees are doing best of all on salary increases. Defense Department civilian employees earning $150,000 or more increased from 1,868 in December 2007 to 10,100 in June 2009, the most recent figure available.

When the recession started, the Transportation Department had only one person earning a salary of $170,000 or more. Eighteen months later, 1,690 employees had salaries above $170,000.

The trend to six-figure salaries is occurring throughout the federal government, in agencies big and small, high-tech and low-tech. The primary cause: substantial pay raises and new salary rules.

"There's no way to justify this to the American people. It's ridiculous," says Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, a first-term lawmaker who is on the House's federal workforce subcommittee.

Jessica Klement, government affairs director for the Federal Managers Association, says the federal workforce is highly paid because the government employs skilled people such as scientists, physicians and lawyers. She says federal employees make 26% less than private workers for comparable jobs.

USA TODAY analyzed the Office of Personnel Management's database that tracks salaries of more than 2 million federal workers. Excluded from OPM's data: the White House, Congress, the Postal Service, intelligence agencies and uniformed military personnel.

The growth in six-figure salaries has pushed the average federal worker's pay to $71,206, compared with $40,331 in the private sector.

Key reasons for the boom in six-figure salaries:

•Pay hikes. Then-president Bush recommended — and Congress approved — across-the-board raises of 3% in January 2008 and 3.9% in January 2009. President Obama has recommended 2% pay raises in January 2010, the smallest since 1975. Most federal workers also get longevity pay hikes — called steps — that average 1.5% per year.

•New pay system. Congress created a new National Security Personnel System for the Defense Department to reward merit, in addition to the across-the-board increases. The merit raises, which started in January 2008, were larger than expected and rewarded high-ranking employees. In October, Congress voted to end the new pay scale by 2012.

•Pay caps eased. Many top civil servants are prohibited from making more than an agency's leader. But if Congress lifts the boss' salary, others get raises, too. When the Federal Aviation Administration chief's salary rose, nearly 1,700 employees' had their salaries lifted above $170,000, too.

Wouldn't that... be... umm... socialism? Aren't social programs supposed to be the devil, or the downfall of humanity, or something? I don't get what you're saying

Socialism is not the same as having programs for those in actual need. I think that is just being civilized.

It's easy to play the game you're playing here, so I won't feed the beast.

But no, social programs != socialism.

I actually heard a great line from one of the Sunday shows. I believe it was a Rep Ryan from WI on CNBC who said something to the effect of... There is a big difference between equalizing people's opportunities in life and trying to equalize the results of their lives.

I'm not playing a game, I was trying to make a point and I think you got it. That line that 2k5 mentioned is intentionally blurred all the time for political reasons and it gets old after a while.

John Murtha was hospitalized for abdominal pain the other day. I almost spit my pop out rading this comment about the king of pork:"Last week, doctors suspected Murtha was suffering from swine flu..." What irony for the king of pork!

Indeed. Just look at California, uncontrolled immigration has worked great. Low unemployment, budget surplus, a cool Governor. Win.
