mental pain.

dude looks as if he has no clue and totally mystified.

and he ain't been hitting against Josh Beckett, Jake Peavy and Mariano Rivera lately.

I gotcha now. How does a professional big league hitter get into that kind of funk anyway?

So much a curse they won it all in 2005, eh?

Did not know he won the lottery. Thanks, never knew that. Was it the big-time one for like 40 million or a mini one for like 3 million?

Not a curse for the White Sox but for him personally It was a huge one. I guess he bought his kids houses and they became drug addicts. Everyone asks him for money. He and his wife started this White Sox charity before all the problems started, it was their way of giving back, and he'll do it until he dies, but supposedly he is running out of money. I guess he had to cut his kids off because of excess spending, drugs etc. and his wife died. He owned a bunch of houses but was going to go back to just 1.

As DAllen stated earlier today, Swisher has been just a huge disappointment.

Well I hope nobody expected .310 with a .500 OBP along with 45 HR and 140 RBI. He's a lifetime .250 hitter for God's sake and his BA is going up. He'll more then likely probably finish around .250 with a pretty damn good OBP.

He's been consistently in the .237 range for a while now. Between that and Crede's 40 pt plummet over the last 40 days, it would really help this offense if PK either picks it up or gets benched.

He won the lottery several years ago. I read an article, and he says the victory has been a curse.

If there's one idea which has been cemented in my mind from years of Sociology courses, it's winning the lottery will ruin your life unless you go to great lengths to hide your identity. Money changes everything -- particularly the relationship among family and friends.

This isn't the place to discuss the topic, but all I can recommend for anyone who wins the lottery is to pay a substantial amount of money to secure your assets, hire a special FX company to disguise your identity at the press conference, and NEVER reveal your name. Ask the Whitetaker character whom won one of the largest lottery totals in US history how fame has changed his life. His grand daughter was killed because of the extravagant allowances he gave to her, which she -- in part -- spent on drugs.

That's true, but like I said, he was at .200 in what seems like a month ago.

I agree on Crede. Too bad we'll never trade him.

Agree on Paulie. He isn't very good right now.

Has anyone ever been to Arlington to see a Rangers game? I've always wanted to see the Sox play there as I go to atleast 1 road series a year, sometimes 2, but they always play in July and I don't enjoy 100 degrees at all.

I expected 100 every day in early August last year when I went to see us play in KC, since that was what the weather report gave, instead it was 65 the first 2 days with rain.

If I ever won a big lottery, which I probably never will since I don't play, I would never have my name released or make one of those appearances with the big check. I would probably tell my parents and sister after everything has settled down and help them out with some stuff, than live off interest and not go over board with it.

I would tell my parents to keep it a secret if they could.

I just read about it on wikipedia. So odd how that happens.

I've been there once. Pretty nice park in the middle of nothing.

Yes, and it's in my top 3 parks. A truly great place to see a ball game. OT, Jim and I stopped to Hooters for dinner and to watch some of the game. A guy, about 40ish, said "hey, is that Wade Boggs kid playing for the Rangers?"
