I never said we're horrible. Right now, we look dead. I hope to God they come out and kick the hell out of Texas tomorrow.

Isn't dead worse than horrible? I mean, the Washington Nationals look dead to me, but that might only be because they're 15 games out.

I just think any fan of a baseball team that is this extreme has to have stress related problems. Relax...there's still 2 and a half good months of baseball left to be played, and for all I know or care, this team could win 100 games or they might not finish .500. That's why they play the games, and worrying about two games in the middle of July shouldn't really be that big of a concern.

This team doesn't look "dead"...they may not have been full of energy and 100% amped and ready to go, but close to probably 5 hours in airports and on airplanes last night and then ready to get up and play ball immediately today will take its toll on your energy, and Red Bull only does so much to help that. Let them get a full night's rest and see how they respond in the next two days.

So...wednesday Night I don't believe qualified as horrible baseball, we were down 5-0 and battled back to win. What's wrong with that?

sometimes we will lose. For goodness' sakes. After every loss this place is like a morgue. NOBODY THOUGHT WE'D BE THIS GOOD. Enjoy it while it lasts.

instead of saying this team is dead after every single loss...do people ever stop and consider that maybe its losing that makes a team look dead, and not the other way around?

or the offense looks better when people get on base.

Swish needs to be at 1b.. Obviously Paulie has done nothing but good things for this team since joining in '99. However, it maybe time for KW to start thinking about a new direction. Swisher plays an incredible 1b and the team was doing fine with the platooning Wise/BA thing in CF. Now i hope Paulie can snap out of his all around funkness and get back to form, but i just dont see it happening this year. He struck out 3 times vs a guy with a 7+ era last night. It now has come down to a point where Ozzie needs to start thinking about whats best for the team and if it means benching Paulie than so be it.

On a bright note- Thome is looking much more comfortable behind the plate, im thinkin he is starting to find his groove. Swisher was finding his groove when he was playing 1b.... i say you put him back there Ozzie.

It was a brutal game, but the great thing about baseball is there is always tomorrow. I will be watching the Saturday game on WGN and Danks pitches against his former team. I think this will be a lot of fun. More fun if we win mind you, but fun anyway. I think PK will snap out of it and I am changing my PTC tonight and Sunday to Konerko to show my support for the team Captain. One thing to take positive from this game is the effort of Carrasco. But, now what happens when he is sent back down? Apparently he can't go back to AAA without clearing waivers as he has no options. I have never understood that rule and mind you we only saw one game from DJ, but it's still a shame that we might lose him.

I agree with that statement except for "all I know or care."

I do care that we finish closer to 100 wins than under .500.

I agree there's no way of predicting this team's fate.

Two things I hope: We continue to rule at home and we continue to win series against teams in our division.

I am still in disbelief that a place filled with supposed "die hard fans" reacts this way after every damn loss. Why bother even watching the rest of the season if after every loss "the season is over". Stupid as hell.

On another note, although i hate the RONJJJJJ, did anyone hear that awesome call last night? Some either drunk or mentally challenged person called in to complain about PK (what an original thought too). The drunk/retard was arguing that our team is so much better without PK and that he needs to go. Ronj then asked him how the other 8 guys in the lineup would have been better last night if BA or Wise was in the lineup rather than PK. The caller was flabergasted by this question and had no idea what that had to do with his call. I was laughing my ass of listening, and this is how i picture most of the people on this board after a loss.

It's human nature Jenksy Cat.

Like somebody pointed out the other day there's ALWAYS something to b**** about, somebody (actually lots of individuals) to b**** about after a loss.

I'd say without a doubt there is something you could second guess Guillen and all managers about after a loss.

And there's players to blame.

It's never going to change.

The only time there's not a managerial goat or couple of players to blame is when the ump gets the blame and that's not that often.

Last night ... Floyd deserves blame for all the walks and our hitters that had ohfers including Paulie deserve blame for letting that hack look like Tom Seaver.

While I'll agree its human nature, at some point you gotta sit back and look at what your typing. I have never once thought to myself that "this season is over" or "this team is dead" after a loss. Not even after the extended losing streaks, and honestly can't believe that people can watch every game (which I am assuming they do) and still b**** and moan like we're 15 games back.
