So Paul Konerko has better numbers, makes less, accomplished a lot more in his career yet doesn't get a shred of the hype that Young gets.

See where we're coming from?

I don't know about all of that. Do you really think he's accomplished more and gets a lot more hype? Young isn't looked at as a power guy like Paulie is, yet he hits .300 and knocks in 90-100 runs each year...and he plays short stop. If Gordon Beckham can be a Michael Young kind of player, I think we'd be pretty lucky as Sox fans.

Or that Cabrera's petty. I won't miss him when he leaves.

Chase Utley who happens to be 1000X the player that Michael Young is signed an extension 2 months apart from Young in '07. Utley will earn $15M a year for his first 4 possible free agency eligible seasons. Michael Young got $16M. The Rangers overpaid by about $35M.

What is the deal with Crede just trying to hit it to right field? He has no power the opposite way, so it makes no sense. Crede and Swisher are killing this offense tonight.

Crede has 124 career homeruns, a grand total of 4 of those homers have been hit between right center and right field. It makes zero sense.

Wow. That's unbelievable. People complain about Thome being a pull hitter, what about Crede?

I agree 100% there. Chase Utley is one of the best players in the game.

I'm just trying to say Michael Young is a good player. That's all. I don't care what he gets paid, that's between him, his agent and the team.

Awesome stuff, thanks! I remember one of those was a very cheap homer down the right field line vs the Cubs in 2005.

I love Danks. Congrats again KW.

I do not love Swish. Seems like a nice guy, though.

Swisher's best attribute is his personality. However, usually when you say that about someone, that means they're a fat girl.

Fat girls who get to first base a lot...via a walk.

And I assume Fields had at least 4 oppo field homers last year?

Joe Crede: 4 career opposite field HRs in 2724 career ABs.

Josh Fields: 5 career opposite field HRs in 393 career ABs.

Less than 1/10 of Joe Crede's career homeruns have been hit between center field and the right field foul pole.
