fathom
I'm sure the thinking is that Carrasco looked good vs the Rangers last time.
maggsmaggs
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 11:23 AM) FWIW, Egbert would have been on the same schedule as Jose. If he somehow got a start for the ML team, I would be afraid of what you might do/react. It would be scary...
Reddy
methinks we're in for a rough stretch...
fathom
QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) methinks we're in for a rough stretch... I couldn't agree more. KW needs to find us another arm, if not two.
whitesoxbrian
Contreras to the DL with suckitis.
Swingandalongonetoleft
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 12:39 PM) Contreras to the DL with suckitis. Might as well DL Javy and a few of our other Cy Youngs (pen and rotation) then. And Coop too. *Edit* Didn't think I needed to use that green font thing, but just in case. Cerbaho-WG
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 11:55 AM) He started last night. He throws a knuckleball, he could start on two days rest.
fathom
With Carrasco warming up today, I doubt he's starting on Tuesday.
greg775
Bring up somebody who has been starting in minors. Please no Masset or Carrasco.
danman31
If Egbert gets a start, I gotta really question the thought process of Sox management. Haeger should be the favorite.
elrockinMT
It seems Ozie was not happy with Contreras being less than up front with staff about his arm problem
GreatScott82
With Jose going to the DL and our lack of pitchers truly ready to start from the farm, KW is pretty much forced into making a deal. (Jose's injury may be a blessing in disguise). I really hope he goes after Duscherer and not a guy like Burnett, and HELL NO to Rausch. Burnett is overpayed and reminds me of Javy- throws heat and can dominate but can also go on a string of 5-6 straight loses. Can a Street/Duscherer combo come to the White Sox in a big deal? I know its unlikely but i know KW has had his scouts check them both out. We would probably have to send Fields, Poreda, Richar, Broadway etc... to get them both but i think this would not only solidify our rotation the rest of the way, but it would ease the stress of our struggling pen lately with guys like Thorton, Dotel and Linebrink pitching a lot the last few weeks.
