Sox to face Liriano next week?

Bring on Liriano. He ain't the same pitcher he was before the injury and probably won't be cause his slider won't be near as wicked. Liriano ain't a slouch, he still probably will be a top of the rotation guy, but I don't think he will be as dominant as he was.

He'll be back on the DL relatively soon.

Debunking some previous rumors of a possible promotion, manager Ron Gardenhire announced Friday that Francisco Liriano will start Sunday for Triple-A Rochester.

Liriano is, of course, 9-0 at Triple-A and really has nothing left to prove in the minors. He has a 0.29 ERA with 42 strikeouts in his last five starts. Yet, the Twins are hesitant to give up on Livan Hernandez, or any other pitcher for that matter.

I might have to go see him pitch again Sunday. I saw him against Charlotte earlier this year before he got hot. Fields and Wise didn't play that day though.

Complete recovery from Tommy John surgery is highly common.
