RibbieRubarb
Just get our team's collective heads out of their ASSES!!
Dick Allen
After the sweep of the Twins, they are playing like they did the previous 2.5 months. I think the stretch between the Cubs and Twins was a fluke and they are back to their old, (very old) ways. I think 4-6 would be a more realistic record for this road trip. Big Irish
I konow this team does alot to make us all doubt but I really do feel like there is something here this year. I may be proven wrong but I still think it will all come together. The Twins pbviously don't want it. I think the biggest problem lies with Manuel playing with the dam lineup everyday. Pick one and leave it for a week. He worries way too much about match ups and not who is performing. 1B-thomas 2B-Alomar 3B-Crede SS-Valentin LF-Lee CF-Rowand RF-Maggs C-Alomar/Olivo(Alomar can't play everyday) DH-Everett. Do this and leave it alone and see what happens.
SweetJfour
You couldn't be more right man! The only way this team is going to hit consistently is to be in the line-up everday. Maggs, Lee, Thomas, and Valentin are hitting fairly well and they are in the line-up everyday. Even Joe C has been heating up lately. You can't expect someone like Rowand, Konerko, etc.... to step into the line-up every three or four games and hit consistently. I know Rowand did it last night, but it can't honestly be expected every game. This team needs consistency more than anything else right now. If not for the at-bats, then to come together as a team. They need 9-10 guys to be the core and everyone else to feed off them. After all, how confident would you be if the person next to you in the field every other night or so is someone different? What do you say JERRY? It just might be crazy enough to work!!!!!!!!!
whitesox247
And we could go unbeaten for the rest of the season if only they felt like it.

SweetJfour
It shouldn't make us the fans as sick as it should every single member of that clubhouse down to the bullpen catcher. Sorry Manchu Lee
Big Irish
I also feel with the addition of Alomar it will make Valentin that much better defensively as there won't be so much pressure on him. He is no longer the veteran trying to lead the young infield, he will feed off of Robbie. They can be grewat together, If they would only be out there every game. No reaso nwhy not. We need Valentin in the lineup everyday as he is the emotional leader for this team.
forkit
If you remember, Frank spoke about the possibility of the team playing like this when the Sox were playing the CUB. He said something like he "wasn't going to let himself get too high because he's seen too many of the younger guys get overly emotional during the crosstown classic and then when the Sox return to play the Detroits and Tampa Bays afterwards, they are emotionally flat"--which is just how they are playing right now. They had that huge surge of emotion for the CUB and Twinks and then...flatline. I hope the fine home plate calls in the ninth will juice the boys a bit tonight, but if they don't light the bats up soon, it won't matter. Grebeck Fan Club
We're getting shut down by too many mediocre pitchers to be a contenda. Our vaunted offense appears every third game.
Iguana
JM needs to just pick a f***ing lineup and stick with it! rest people once in a while but stick with the same lineup the rest of the season.... 1B - Frank 2B - Robbie SS - Hose 3B - Crede C - Olivo LF - Lee CF - Everette RF - Maggs DH - Daubach this lineup should play 85% of the games, period. CubKilla
JM needs to just pick a f***ing lineup and stick with it! Most here have been screaming for a consistent, everday line-up since last season. I guess JM knows something we don't know. He must be the only one. The fans think he sucks, the PLAYERS think he sucks. The only one that likes this goof must be JR. :fyou Manuel
IlliniKrush
There's too many valuable guys on that bench to play one lineup every single day. Graff needs to start against lefties. Harris and Rowand need to play because they add speed and defense. Konerko needs at bats, and if he heats up, will need more. You can't just sit a guy. I'd like to see relative consistent lineups. CubKilla
NO EVERETT IN CENTERFIELD, NO EVERETT IN CENTERFIELD Who you gonna put there? Dorn? Harris? They traded for him to play CF. Deal with it. The only way Everett goes to LF is if Lee is dealt.

You're advocating what JM is doing now then saying JM has to have consistency.

That's why i used the term relative...sometimes he does overdo it.

NO. i will not deal with Everett playing a really ugly centerfield. It's not worth the tradeoff in offense, esp if you put harris out there. Trade Lee, correct. Or rotate him at DH with daubach and also mix him in with Lee for the time being, the guy is not a center fielder, have you not watched him the past week? Teams in the playoffs win with strong defense up the middle.

IlliniKrush
The offense will be fine with a platoon of Dauber, Lee, and Everett at LF/DH until we trade Lee for bullpen help. He hurts too much on defense, way too much, the guy is not a centerfielder, and without Harris in the lineup we have zero speed.
