Penn St. averages more rushing YDS/G and defensively is slightly stronger than Iowa against the run.

To be fair, you run more when you are winning and pass more when you are losing. They better have better run numbers.

Whoever it was that agreed to this game in the Illinois athletic department should be fired. To agree to a game like this as a Big 10 team is inexcuseable, and they are really paying for it now that they are down 13. HOPEFULLY the Illini can make a comeback, but this is the classic college upset recipe mixing together with the sleepy crowd watching a superior talented but lazy and poor coached team play against the smaller conference, veteran team with a good coach and a lot of experience.

IIRC this was a late substitution game. Something else was lined up but fell through and this was a last minute thing. Not an excuse, but yeah this game has just had terrible written all around it even before the opening kickoff.

I hope Locksley gets a head coaching job so we can get an offensive coordinator who actually knows what the f*** he is doing.

The Illini are definitely frustrating to watch, sometimes the offense looks like an unstoppable machine and than today really poor. A new rb is definitely needed...

you know Nebraska is bad when Husker fans are calling out Kansas fans!

LOL . It's not the worst it has been. Last year was the worst. But don't act like the 'canes never had a Dry run. It's schools like Nebraska and Miami that will come back no matter how bad it gets.

f***ing Sweet...Hawkeyes have been pretty solid. Only losses have been to quality opponents (yes, I'm going to call the Illini a quality team) and none of the losses have been by a large margin (should have beaten Pitt, and I tip my cap to MSU/Illinois). I just hope Stanzi can continue to develop and turn into something next year (since Greene should be back).

At least it keeps Ferentz in Iowa City. He still has one hell of a time against Iowa State, and while they can win when they come in motivated like they did last year, things figure to be different next year.
