Balta1701
QUOTE (Winning Ugly @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 03:39 PM) Swish would hit for BA I bet. That would be appropriate punishment.
fathom
The bullpen continues to be great. Another fantastic "slider" by Thornton. I can't believe some people tried to argue he had a good slider the other day.

EvilJester99
Damn if these f***ing pitchers would stop giving up f***ing runs right back, we'd probably stand a chance.
elrockinMT
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 11:39 PM) Matt Thornton bringing the heat And Olivo sent it the otehr way in a hurry. For crying out loud
Brian
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 05:40 PM) The bullpen continues to be great. Another fantastic "slider" by Thornton. I can't believe some people tried to argue he had a good slider the other day. His slider and fastball both suck now. When he is good, he throws that tumbler away from lefties and gets K's. elrockinMT
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 11:40 PM) This pen is a shell of its former self. I can't believe this is the same group that Joe Morgan was raving about
fathom
QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 10:41 PM) His slider and fastball both suck now. When he is good, he throws that tumbler away from lefties and gets K's. It's just disturbing that every bullpen member of the Sox (besides Jenks) has completely lost their offspeed pitch. fathom
QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 10:44 PM) why are they losing it? I wish I knew. The velocity for Linebrink, Dotel, Logan, and Thornton is fine. It just seems like over the past month, they can't throw their sliders/splitters for strikes, and those pitches are getting crushed. Brian
QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 05:44 PM) why are they losing it? Starters haven't been going long enough recently? Only thing I can think of cuz I don't believe they were over worked in the first few months.
