Jake
An excellent stage to show the national audience that we are for real.
justBLAZE
I believe we have some unfinished business from last year. Let's give to them.
Jake
When I was younger, I had some illusion that since there were two different Sox they must dislike each other and the rivalry was heated. Not the case though.

BaseballNick
I'll be there, and I want to have a lot to cheer about. Go get 'em Pale Hose!
whitesoxbrian
Very tough series as they throw Lester, Beckett, Buchholz, and Matsuzaka. To win 2 would be nice but the greedy side of me wants 3. Start us off on a good note, Buehrls!
greg775
Man they got good starting pitching on paper. This should be really interesting. Hope we're on our game like we were against the Cubs in The Cell.
claydude14
The annoying Red Sox Nation fans will be in attendance. Anyone attending these games has a duty to out cheer and out class them!
maggsmaggs
Buehrle just needs to throw strikes. The Red Sox are a patient group, so throw strikes, keep them off-balance and let's put a few up on Lester. This may be the one time I root for failure from him because he is a hell of a story and nice guy (or it seems that way from every time I have seen him interviewed). elrockinMT
Time for the ace of the staff to step up and be the ace. Lead the pitching staff to some respectability please Mark.
GoSox05
QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) The annoying Red Sox Nation fans will be in attendance. Anyone attending these games has a duty to out cheer and out class them! Or maybe throw peanuts at them. Screw "The Nation".
Baines3
This is going to be a tough series. Buehrle will have to be at his best. :gosoxretro: :gosox3: :gosox3: Edited August 8, 2008 by Baines3

Balta1701
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 09:46 AM) Very tough series as they throw Lester, Beckett, Buchholz, and Matsuzaka. To win 2 would be nice but the greedy side of me wants 3. Start us off on a good note, Buehrls! On the other hand...they have to face Buehrle, Floyd, Danks, and a hopefully now healthy Contreras. Don't count out our guys just because the other names have a better hype machine behind them.
watchtower41
Any chance they get Giles before the weekend is over?
PorkChopExpress
QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) Any chance they get Giles before the weekend is over? I thought Giles already blocked a deal to the other Sox. Let's take the first from the defending World Champs minus one Manny Ramirez.
Kalapse
He already vetoed the deal, he's staying in San Diego.
fathom
Any lineup news for tonight? Griffey Jr. better not be playing, and I wouldn't mind seeing Thome get a day off (Cox said he has a bad leg). Lester's better against lefty hitters.
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 03:12 PM) Ortiz and Lowell hurting, Drew struggling. Lets take Game 1 and get momentum. Kalapse
Thome out, Griffey DHing. I assume the lineup will look a little something like this; OC - SS AJ - C CQ - LF JD - RF PK - 1B KG - DH NS - CF AR - 2B JU - 3B
