Michael Cuddyer broke a bone in his left foot while during a rehab assignment. Big break for the Sox as he is a pretty good bat.

From Rotoworld.com

Michael Cuddyer, who was rehabbing a finger injury in Triple-A on Friday night, broke a bone in his left foot when it was hit by a line drive and is now likely out for the season.

Cuddyer will have the foot placed in a protective boot today. The injury will sideline him for at least another four weeks, and since Cuddyer has already been out for five weeks it will take him some time to get back in the swing of things. Perhaps he can be ready if the Twins make the playoffs, but the odds of Cuddyer contributing are highly unlikely even if he beats the odds and does manage to get back into uniform.

It will be interesting to hear if Grienke's suspension is reduced. He drilled Delmon Young. Young hit a homer earlier in the game, and the batter before drilled a triple off the wall

Reduced or extended?

/waits for fathom, wsb or bearsox to bump the 2nd place thread.

There's no LOSS thread tonight, I think everyone is concerned because now Crede, Linebrink and now Jose are not available.

Tough times coming up.

If they hit .314 or whatever it is with RISP (the best number in like 40 years or whatever) the rest of the year, then we are going to lose the division. It's just as simple as that. It's tough to overcome a team setting record numbers like that. If that is the case, then hopefully we can compete for the Wild Card.
