Harry Chappas
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 11:53 AM) Aviles 1-out triple, Guillen RBI double, tie game... royals already got 5 hits on liriano in the 3rd, 4 for extra bases... Liriano is not the same pitcher he used to be. He may become it again but you never know.
BlackBetsy
Ugh...Liriano now breezing through the Royals lineup...65 or so pitches through 5 innings and looks like he could go deep and avoid the bad part of the Twins bullpen. Any kind of lead for the Twins and this thing is over.
Kyyle23
Both pitchers seem to be breezing along now

BlackBetsy
Duckworth's 3rd trip through the lineup....can't be good. Mahay in, but he's got to pitch out of a jam.
WilliamTell
Royals prove me wrong, strike out Kubal, and get a 1-5-3 Double Play.
BlackBetsy
QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 01:36 PM) Mahay in, but he's got to pitch out of a jam. And he did, thank you very much. On to the 7th.
BlackBetsy
Liriano hardly breaking a sweat....meanwhile, our midseason replacement lefty starter gave up a million runs against KC when he faced them.
BlackBetsy
Gamecase cracks me up...on a pitch last inning, the strike zone said it was pretty much right down the middle but was called a ball. If the Ump had seen it, they'd throw the person running gamecast out of the ballpark.
ChiSox_Sonix
Ron Mahay is actually a halfway decent pitcher. I'm surprised he wasnt traded to a team needing/wanting a lefty Runner on 1B, 2 outs in the 7th for the Twins

LittleHurt05
Wow, royals bullpen gets out of it with two runners on...tied 2-2 headed to the 8th, KC might have a chance, although Liriano is in the zone and has retird 14 straight... and i gotta say, that legend of rowand pale hose 5 comic in your sig above makes me laugh every single time i see it... ChiSox_Sonix
8 pitch inning for Liriano and they head to the bottom of the 8th with Mauer and Morneau due up. Liriano only at 95 pitches.
BlackBetsy
Dejesus broke up the consecutive retired streak and then Liriano rolled over Aviles and Guillen. Bottom of the 8th 2-2.
WilliamTell
German somehow did not catch a fly ball from Mauer. It bounced off his glove.
BlackBetsy
Jeebus Maura and Jose it seems like Mauer and Morneau are up every inning.
G&T
The Royals are bad. Ball bounces of German's glove. Mauer with a 2 base error.
Harry Chappas
Royals saw 8 pitches for 4 batters in the 8th and actually got a hit. They seem like a very different team against the White Sox as they would have worked the count there and gone through 3 different relief pitchers. G&T
QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 02:06 PM) Royals saw 8 pitches for 4 batters in the 8th and actually got a hit. They seem like a very different team against the White Sox as they would have worked the count there and gone through 3 different relief pitchers. That's because Sox pitchers wouldn't be attacking the zone.
WilliamTell
2 outs this inning, but the Twins always wait until 2 outs to get a run in. Got out of it. Edited September 11, 2008 by WilliamTell

ChiSox_Sonix
Wow, Twins looked bad at the plate there for once. If KC could somehow score here, Minny would have the bottom of their order up in the 9th
