BlackBetsy
5-1 Twins now in the seventh, Baker cruising. Looks like the Twins will only be 0.5 games out.
santo=dorf
Daniel Cabrera is f***ing garbage. People always toss around his with Cooper, but if Mazzone couldn't straighten his ass out, why would you even want to touch this guy with a 10 foot pole? maggsmaggs
QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) yeah this game is over already....we're tied...ugh terrible Add to the fact that we have to play more games than them in the same amount of time means they are at a big advantage. Although we still have less losses, but I am very pessimistic now. It would be so sucky to have led this division pretty much since April and to have the Twins overtake us the last two weeks. Kinda like the runner who drafts behind the leader and beats him in the last 100 meters.
WilliamTell
6-0. You suck Garrett Olson. Thank you Baltimore for putting someone on the mound with a career 6.72 ERA. How he came into tonight 10-10 lifetime I have no clue.
santo=dorf
I'm so glad the Sox took the Baltimore games lightly. Nothing says killer instinct like starting Horacio Ramirez and trying to use him for 3 innings in pretty much a sudden death game. Nothing says killer instinct like starting Horacio Ramirez and trying to use him for 3 innings. You might need to keep track of the Twins magic number. I hate the Twins with a passion, but the deserve credit for never being out of it. Plus whenever they have an injury, the replacements seem to do better than the originals, minus Mauer or Morneau. We don't get that luxury.
santo=dorf
I was just thinking that as well. Perhaps if they hold on tonight I'll change it.
fathom
Our terrible play of late kept the Twins in this race, and it was a matter of time before they started to play better.
WilliamTell
On the brighter side, if Toronto holds their lead, we'll gain 1 game on Boston. Granted we'll need a monsterous collapse from them which probably won't happen. Edited September 14, 2008 by WilliamTell
WilliamTell
9-2 and Baltimore is on their 3rd pitcher in the 3rd inning. I'm not going to watch anymore.

greg775
Guys I'm close to assuming Minnie is going to win the division and lose in the first round again. I'm close to just being pleasantly surprised if we make it. It just seems like it's Minnie's year. Go ahead and flame me but it just seems like teams get up for us, and don't get up for Minnie. See the O's and Royals. Until people forget about our 05 title, we catch their best shot and the Twinks don't. Hope the Sox surprise me. I will be rooting all the way. shipps
greg you must not have seen what Minny has been doing the past few weeks. They have had a bullpen that has literally exploded half their games. BOOM!
greg775
I just hope the team isn't like me, shipps, and close to assuming it's ova. I just hate the fact other teams can't get up for the Twins. You wait and see how hard the pissant Royals play against us in KC. I mean there's no way we'd have swept Baltimore tonight like the s***ass Twinks are doing. No way. Edited September 14, 2008 by greg775

Swingandalongonetoleft
Horses***. This in combination with our healthy lineup and prize-winning play gives me the heebie jeebies. I can't see us sweeping a double header against anyone let alone a division rival tomorrow and Minny gets the team they outscored 73-4 today. This is the moment I've been bracing myself for. Please, don't even start with the "way to support your team" junk either. We're injured, face a relentless schedule thanks in part to this rain, and get to pay our beloved Twins a visit. If we take but *one* out of three up there I'll consider it to be a major victory. Additionally, when was the last time we swept a doubleheader? Before the time of Christ? I know some scientists just started up a spiffy new collider in Europe. Maybe they also seek the answer to that question. I'm prepared to eat my words, but I'm not expecting I'll need to. WilliamTell
Anyone have any idea who's pitching in the Minnesota series? I'm not even going to try to figure it out with all of the rain delays happening. Please no 5th starter, that's all I ask. I would prefere no Vazquez either because I don't like how he performs in big game situations.
greg775
The division lead will bounce around until the until of the year. Hope I'm wrong as well, but today's DH sweep says a lot about Minnie again. They don't have the players we do, yet they are the likely division champs. Hope I eat my words as well. I will continue rooting as hard as I can. Twinks are so resilient they piss me off.
