Harry Chappas
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 07:24 PM) Leadoff man on in 3 of 4 innings so far. The last inning lead-off man on and 3-0 count and nobody works the count. 3rd inning 2 men on nobody out and 2-0 count and 2 pitches later the inning is over. Make a pitcher work once in a while really

Harry Chappas
The Carrasco induced ulcer from last evening is feeling better. He saved the staff here and in Texas. They better not dick around with him as a starter until Linebrink decides he wants to pitch again.
Wanne
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 06:20 PM) If its Broadway, God help us all. They might as well let fathom toe the rubber. So whaddaya think DA?.... Poreda? Broadway? Give Richard another chance? Waiver wire deal?

justBLAZE
So far for Dice-k being a 5 or 6 inning pitcher. They way he's going we better get to him or we might not even see their bullpen.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 06:30 PM) So whaddaya think DA?.... Poreda? Broadway? Give Richard another chance? Waiver wire deal? Poreda is the best bet IMO in house, if they don't make Carrasco the 5th guy. But rookies in pennant races except for some rare exceptions, usually don't work out. Broadway isn't going to help. His ERA is over 7.00 his last 10 AAA starts. Wes Whistler would be BP in the major leagues. KW might have to bite the bullet and ask Uncle JR to approve picking up $ for mediocrity like a guy like Washburn.
