I hate the Twins. With the exception of the Mariners series it seems like they sweep all inferior teams and then get swept by all superior teams.

They have all of 2 hits in five innings against Baker today, 2-0 Twins heading into the 6th. Of course, they will have approximately 51 hits against us this week, predictably.

Looks like ALL the momentum is now officially back to the Red Sox after we had them on the ropes. Too bad we didn't have Craig Monroe or Marcus Thames to pinch-hit for us against Aardsma.

AJP shouldn't be hitting in the 2nd spot of the order then. You can't play for one run like this against Boston when you have a terrible bullpen.

We were playing for 2 runs. 2 hitters bunt, especially with 2 on and none out. That is the epitome of a bunt situation. Moving two men instead of one into scoring position for your 3, 4, and 5 hitters is absolutely the textbook thing to do.

Exactly. If you're thinking you shouldn't bunt, then you're assuming that hits are following. So, why not have runners at 2d and 3d when they do?

So why wasn't Pedroia bunting? :D

Great play by Ramirez, huge batter in Ortiz here.

Well, I wish someone would clue our hitters that we were playing for 2 runs. Because from the swings I saw they were hitting for 4.

Agree...but some will go to great lengths in not finding certain players culpable even if it means making up crap about Guillen. The bunt was the RIGHT CALL...at the very least we get 1 run, but Dye and Thome blew it...it happens.
