caulfield12
QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) I am turning this game off. No need to take 5 years off my life. Too bad we can't put El Duque into this game like in 2005. Eerie. Erratic lefty (like Marte) screws up the inning and the righty has to come in and try to save the game. Friend of Nordhagen
It's the good Dotel! Nice!
Harry Chappas
There is nothing consistent about this team except for prolonged slumps whether they are starters, the bullpen or hitters making over $7M a year. Real sad. How many leads of 3+ have the Sox blown in the last two weeks?
fathom
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 09:34 PM) nice left handed relief out of the pen the last two days. But hey Kenny, we got junior, so it's all good. Unless you wanted to give up a fortune for Ohman or Sherrill, I don't blame KW for not going after a lefty reliever. Frankensteiner
Thank you. I am going to keep this game turned off because nothing good happens when I'm watching. Seriously, when I've had it on the Red Sox outscored us 5-1.
fathom
BTW, how old is that girl who was singing? She does the National Anthem often, and I have a comment to make, but want to make sure she's 18.

My brother had a funny comment, in retrospect....could you imagine Hawk's voice if Alexei launched that into the 1st base stands?

maggsmaggs
Does anybody remember the last time we won a game comfortably? It seems forever since we have had an "easy" win.
Jake
We've had the lead since the third inning you'd think we've been getting our asses kicked.
caulfield12
QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 03:37 PM) There is nothing consistent about this team except for prolonged slumps whether they are starters, the bullpen or hitters making over $7M a year. Real sad. How many leads of 3+ have the Sox blown in the last two weeks? 3 But the Twins blew leads (one even more considerable) in consecutive games too...it happens. If you take away Crain or Guerrier from the Twins, they would be similarly hurting as the White Sox are without Linebrink. And whether it's nerve, lack of cajones or tiredness...we're finding out what happens when Thornton throws too many pitches...dating back to the Tigers overtime game. EvilJester99
Dotel should pitch the 8th and the Big Bad Bobby comes to close it down.

zenryan
let me get this straight. when Ozzie brings in a pitcher to get people out and the pitcher doesnt, it's ozzie's fault? but he doesnt get any credit when dotel induces the double play ball? maggsmaggs
Despite that hit from Swisher, this off-season I would really consider trading for Alex Rios. Swisher (who is the same age and has a similar OPS this season to Rios) + Shelby and another C prospect maybe could get it done?
