IlliniKrush
QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 09:04 PM) Well Uribe basically was only allowed 2 strikes on that at-bat, for whatever that's worth. I'd give him 12, same result.

nitetrain8601
If we don't score this inning, we're screwed. We're not getting anything off of Papelbon. I do agree, Danks is getting screwed by our offense again.

fathom
That Youkilis hit is going to be a focal point for Hawk's whining for the next month. Even though it was a broken bat, it was still a legit base hit.

Uribe called him off. Ala Detroit last year, when he waved everyone off then let the ball bounce in front of him. And that was with Danks pitching. nitetrain8601
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 08:09 PM) I was trying to figure out that single by reading the desc. on game day, What happened? Ball hit right on the inside of the 3B line, twists Uribe around while he's charging for it and Cabrera is chasing it down too and calls off Uribe, but apparently not enough for Uribe to still try to turn around and catch the ball which falls just inside the line for a base hit. That's a shortstop's ball all the way. OC's decent on pop ups...he's not nearly as bad as Iguchi was. The Sox really should walk Pedroia here.
