That funky motion
QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 11:17 PM) Absolutely correct. He doesn't hestitate to look...he scores. Next time it will be Wise running. You know Ozzie caught that and will keep him on the bench for that.

Wanne
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 10:18 PM) That's not Anderson's fault though. His coaches have to be communicating with him that the ball got away. When you're picked off like that, you're only focusing on getting to 2nd base. that's bulls*** fathom. they threw the ball away...so who's back there backing up...nobody. That's first to 3rd easily. WilliamTell
well no win for Floyd. Could be a tie for first shortly. This would be a horrible loss.

I don't know...I think from the reaction of the infielders, and the fact that there's a distinctly different noise from the crowd when the ball is careening down towards the bullpen versus a successful pick-off, I just wonder why Anderson wasn't looking at the 3rd base coach? I just remember someone like Jose Valentin running the bases, and thinking he would have scored easily...even though he wasn't a particularly fast runner. He never seemed to make demonstrable mistakes like that, though.

whitesoxfan101
You may never seen a confrentation of all or nothing players again quite like Octavio Dotel and Jack Cust. We just can't win in Oakland.

Harry Chappas
QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 10:17 PM) Dotel all over the place. Get him out after Thomas. Cust is a f***ing .229 hitter I don't give a s*** about all of the other pretty stats. 3 for 3 with 3 RBI tonight. Man Dotel can give up home runs rather easily. Wanne
Let's keep giving the only hitter on the team a chance to hurt us...goddamn. Friggin pathetic. Only hitter against us I should say..... Edited August 16, 2008 by Wanne
stretchstretch
0-2, here see if you can hit this one down the middle waist high, you know just for kicks, not like I'd want to see if you'll fish for something since I got 4 F***in pitches to waste!!!!! Yep, leave in the fastball pitcher to bat against the fastball hitter. Boone Logan's fall from grace really hurts there.
