Fantl916
Beckham is now 3-3 with a HR... i love him... between Alexei, Quentin, and Beckham I think the White Sox have marketable players for the future of this franchise... Beckham looks like the absolute real deal (and yes i know it's Low A)... It'll be fun tracking him through the minors the remainder of this year and next... daa84
i know he won the cape HR crown (wood bats) but its still nice to see the early power from gordon as he makes the full time switch to wood
scenario
I really like this Kannapolis squad right now. Adding Beckham was huge of course, but with other players added over the last month, that is a really nice lineup. Add Danks as of Tuesday and the people of Kannapolis are going to have fun watching this team the next couple of weeks. danman31
Feel the power of Slayer. It would be sick if he could start next year in AA. I'm getting ahead of myself, but it's more fun this way haha.
Jim Spencer
QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 17, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) Charlotte takin' on Norfolk, Egbert pitching, whatever: Egbert 6 innings so far 1 unearned run (Fields error #11) 4Ks no walks. scenario
Boone Logan came in and laid an egg in relief of Egbert. 2/3 of an inning; 3 runs on 1 hit; 4 walks; and no K's... And got tagged with the loss as Charlotte lost 4-3. Yikes.
JPN366
Beckham could help the Barons in the playoffs. It would be better than Valido.
WhiteSoxfan1986
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 17, 2008 -> 06:48 PM) If he doesn't, I can't imagine he won't be there in late May, early June. I keep talking about the route Tulo took to the big leagues, and I still think it could hold true. The Sox started Fields in AA for his first full pro season, so it wouldn't suprise me if they did the same with Beckham.
caulfield12
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Aug 17, 2008 -> 07:11 PM) Beckham could help the Barons in the playoffs. It would be better than Valido. It's not a bad idea at all...of course, he has experience in the CWS, but any development and assessment we can do with his game (Sox minor leagues) before February 09 is going to be extremely beneficial to KW in terms of updating the 3-5 year plan for this organization on his "big board."
