juddling
Well...i was really digging the show but i guess Christian Slater will be looking for another job.... NBC has pulled the plug on freshman tentpole drama "My Own Worst Enemy" and returning sophomore series "Lipstick Jungle," sources say. The cancellation comes after both shows dropped to new lows in the ratings in recent weeks, with the Christian Slater action series sinking to a 1.8 among adults 18-49 (4.3 million viewers) on Monday night and "Lipstick" falling to a 1.2 (3.3 million viewers) on Friday. I really wish NBC or someone else would give "My own Worst Enemy" a shot. I love the premise and quite honestly, it's the first thing I can think of where I've liked Slaters work. NBC jerks shows around so much. Look at Scrubs and Friday Night Lights. Although My Own Worst Enemy did get a lot of pub. Scrubs and FNL rarely ever did. It took me two shows to add it to the Tivo list, and now they cancel it. I agree, Slater did some good acting there. And I really dig seeing his 'partner' playing the badass spy. juddling
2 episodes left of the Shield.....to me they still have a lot to wrap up so I hope I'm not disappointed in the ending. Last episode of Heroes really screwed the pooch storyline wise. I don't even follow it as closely as some sci-fi fans do but i caught a few big problems to me. Still happy Burn Notice is not waiting for the summer but coming back in January. Bruce Campbell rules!!!

juddling
the episode basically ended where the pilot started (we see Peter getting out of Mohinder's cab and HRG getting in). All episode you saw Elle and HRG as partners. I call bulls--t. Not only did we see the Jamacian with HRG from the beginning but in season 2 in a conversation with her father.. Elle whined about not being allowed out in the field and says she hasn't been out of the Primatech compound in 'years'. Now we are to believe that she was helping 'Gabriel'???????? Second....in the first season one of the pirmary mysteries was who exactly was Linderman and what is he up to. Nathan didn’t know Linderman in season one. It was the f---ing lynchpin to the season, especially the end game. Now we're to believe not only did he know about Linderman but he knew Linderman was friends with his parents and showed up at parties????????? there was one or two other things but those are the main two that jumped out at me. Thats not true, in season 1 it was made apparent the attempt on Nathan's life was by Linderman. It was also apparent that Linderman and Nathan knew each other, and that Nathan's mother and Linderman knew each other. I mean the whole Casino plot line revolved around the Linderman/Petrelli relationship. As to the first part, that one may have been written in to give Elle a longer story line. The Haitian and HRG had been working together from the start.

She says the story line is all over the place now. it all comes back together in the next episode and the eclipse. I think its been fantastic and I look forward to seeing how the heroes get their powers back and how they take up sides.
EvilMonkey
Yeah, the Linderman things is fine. Nathan knew who he was and was prosecuting him when the attempt was made on his life, in both shows. He knew that Linderman was a client of papa's and there is no reason to believe that he had never met him before. In fact, he knew who he was the moment he saw him in Vegas, so he had to have met him before. Show that line is consistent. As for Elle, there is a time crunch there. When she says that she hasn't been in the field for years, could be because they thought she screwed up with Syler. HRG and the Hatian were partners in season 1, but there is no reason to believe that they couldn't have been paired by mama Pitrelli after trying to off hubby. It would impy a longer amount of time between the 'prequel' and beginning of season one to make sense, but in tv land where newborn babies age 3 years for evey 6 months of shows, I huess anything is possible. The show DID give a better insight as to what is going on between papa and mama Pitrelli and why.

greasywheels121
I always watch NBC Thursday a couple of days late now, but this last office was easily the best of the season.
