Didn't really expect to win this one, lets just hope the offense shows up against Bowden tomorrow night. i won't disagree with anything you said. it was a bad matchup from the very beginning. allowed 10 HR all year, facing a team that lives and dies by the homerun i'm still upset with the lack of base hits, and overall lack of patience at the plate facing a guy who walks a ton of guys. our hitters always seem to be of the mindset that the pitcher is always going to strike them out unless they swing the bat. matsuzaka isn't one of those guys... need to have smarter at-bats. also i would've liked to have seen Javy have a good outing, he was just bad, then really really good, then absolutely brutal.. wtf is up with this guy. I sure don't hate him less today than I did before. Also, as the other thread mentioned, we can't beat good teams. I believe Matsuzaka has averaged like 5 IP per start this year. Consider that... Javy has given up 4 or fewer runs in 20 out of his 27 starts this year. The most runs he has given up in any start this year is 6. Let me start by saying that I always make a point to post when Vazquez does well. Second, he had to have those outstanding games just to get his ERA down to 4.38. And you bring up 2007, which is the funny part because that is his MO. He pitches well only when there is no pressure on him. I've been over this a million times.
