IlliniKrush
"Two members of the 2008 Jamaican Olympic track team received shipments of performance-enhancing drugs, including HGH, according to documents obtained by SI." Not really a surprise, and diminishes anything done by them. Gotta think one is Bolt, easy. Edit: Bolt wasn't named, but I wouldn't quite say he's off the hook by any means... Texsox
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 02:28 PM) "Two members of the 2008 Jamaican Olympic track team received shipments of performance-enhancing drugs, including HGH, according to documents obtained by SI." Not really a surprise, and diminishes anything done by them. Gotta think one is Bolt, easy. Dam Dam Dam. As he crossed the finish line both times I thought, I hope he isn't on drugs. That would suck so much.

southsider2k5
That would kill the single biggest highlight of the Olympics for me.
lostfan
Yeah it was pretty disheartening to find out Marion Jones was a fraud... this would kill my interest in track & field.
ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) Yeah it was pretty disheartening to find out Marion Jones was a fraud... this would kill my interest in track & field. Track and field was already hurting from the recent drug busts and they needed someone like Bolt, which they got. If it turns out he was one of the Jamaicans here, Track & Field will be hurt even further and for a lot longer.

Brian
QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 03:24 PM) These are shocking developments in the Land of Obvious. Yup. I just don't get into track and field anymore at the Olympics because I am sure most of them are on something. I feel for the ones who do it right and finish 5th and are never heard from. LosMediasBlancas
NO WAY!! Does anyone remember the 'all steroid olympics' SNL skit? I have a morbid curiosity about the kind of s*** athletes could accomplish if we'd just let em openly juice up. Think we'd see 100 HRs in a season? Or a 9.00 100M dash? kjshoe04
I have that curiosity as well, I'd love to see some of the things that people could do while on the juice.
Texsox
I stand by my thought that the all-steroid league would draw 10X more fans then the all natural league.
DBAHO
That would almost be the death of the Track and Field is one of those was Bolt.

That is so true and I would probably be its biggest fan...secretly.
mreye
Does it really matter at this point if one of them is Bolt or not? With the air of suspicion around two of his 3 teammates he's guilty by association in the court of public opinion. This sucks.

fathom
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 04:44 PM) Quite frankly, yes it does matter. Especially when you compare Bolt's physique to that of the other sprinters. Most of the sprinters look like football players, while Bolt looks more like a basketball player. It's already as close to dead as it could be in America compared to what it used to be here, and stuff like this is why.
