Harry Chappas
I think not breaking up the line-up with a token LHH actually hurts. Thome hitting third today would have been nice. Maybe Josh can build up his trade value.
fathom
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 06:04 PM) Alexei grounds weakly to the pitcher. Our offense once we get men on is getting comical. Any chance the Indians don't score now this inning?

Harry Chappas
Who was the last SOx pitcher to go 8 innings and who was the last to throw a complete game. Vazquez has averged 4 strikes and 6 pitches per batter through 3 innings. At this rate he will not make it through 6. Well at least Linebrink can get some work in as CY Sowers shouldn't allow much. Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 04:18 PM) i get the feeling TCQ might be hurt worse than I thought. I just get the feeling Ozzie is way over protective of him to the point that he will sit him out during the pennant chase.

This game is looking like a mirror image for him although the offense....well at least Dye showed up for a brief moment that day. That series seems to have killed this offense. I agree, he seems to, he has to pitch deep if he's still effective, and if there's a jam, I don't give a rat's ass what inning it is in, Jenks should come in
