Exactly, we don't want to see K-Rod in, more so because I can't stand his celebrations.
fathom
Kalapse, Balta, Santo, etc.....This is one of those times where Thome could be clutch and help the Sox. Facing a righty reliever in a tie game in the 8th.

WilliamTell
Haven't been calling that all game and you decide to now. Sure it looked like a strike but it wasn't that way with Figgins.

Agreed, hasn't been a strike all game. He had a great pitch to hit to start that AB, but he was late.
Disco72
I'd prefer to win the game before him, but I would love to walk off against K-Rod.
CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 6, 2008 -> 06:00 PM) Exactly, we don't want to see K-Rod in, more so because I can't stand his celebrations. Don't want K Rod to get any saves against the Sox . He can break Thiggy's record against other teams plus it means we probably win if he gets no saves

With how this game's setting up, I would have saved him from the 10th. However, you're absolutely right about going for the win.
Balta1701
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 6, 2008 -> 06:07 PM) Why? It isn't like there will ever be a save situation. Well, the big thing I noticed is that we brought him in for the bottom 1/3 of their order, not the part of the order that you're scared of. If he faces Tex he's doing so with 2 men on this inning or in his 2nd inning of work, neither of which is ideal.
