Kalapse
The Twins are off so a Sox win puts them 3 up in the division. It's redemption time for that 4 game sweep earlier in the year where the Sox held the Blue Jays to 12 runs in 4 games but only scored 5. The Ginger Kid
i'm feeling a lot more confident about this team - they seem to have that focus of a tight race. I expect them to cool off the j's, take 3 of 4. burnett tires at 100 pitches - make him work.

Jordan4life_2007
I don't feel good about this series at all. The Blue Jays have some serious talent. I have no idea why they've overachieved so badly. Burnett has been on a roll the last 2 months or so. And you never know what Javy you're going to get. We need our lefty hitters to step up this series, as there's some filthy stuff coming from the right side of the mound.

Sox It To Em
Look at it this way: The Blue Jays have won eight in a row, so they're due to cool off.
alexgtp
As of 3:50. The game is still on for tonite. I think the Sox will tkae the series. Why does everyone not want to face Burnett.. I say bring it. I would rather lose to quality pithcing than to ask for a rainout! Sox need to face many good pitchers in the playoffs. So they should start practicing now! See you all at the game! Personally, I don't want the Sox to play because I'm emotionally drained from sports from the last few days, and I'd rather not have to worry about the game tonight and just watch Prison Break, etc.

stretchstretch
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) I'm not really worried about the Sox, but this is a series thats going to piss alot of people off. Jays are playing some incredible baseball right now, and even with the Sox at home, I think they might be running into a buzzsaw. I hope I am totally wrong, going to be at two of the games, so surprise me Sox. my pessimistic side fears the same thing, plus the twinks have KC in the dome at the same time, perfect storm conditions......this 2.5gm lead needs to be 10 before I started breathing any easier

That said..the Jays are due to lose.

whitesoxfan101
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 04:59 PM) Looks like we're gonna have ourselves a doubleheader. The game has been postponed. Oh for sure, and I'd be shocked if it isn't tomorrow. Forecast is for dry conditions and modest temperatures. This sucks since Monday the 22nd is our only off day left, we'll either need some great starting pitching or help from the secondary guys in the pen like Wassermann and such, if not both. Toby should start vs. Burnett. AJ is 1-22 against him. In addition, the Jays are a station to station team, so he doesn't kill you on the basepaths.
