jphat007
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 12:53 PM) Did Uribe try to bunt? Yah. Took it off after he was 1-1 with a foul bunt. Wouldn't have matter tho. threw 3 straight nasty pitches to OC
fathom
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) burnett has no-no stuff today No surprise there, he's been ridiculous lately. You have to find a way to lay off his curve, and hope he has no command of his fastball.
RockRaines
Awful situational hitting by Uribe there. Just terrible. I wouldnt mind exploring signing Burnett in the offseason 1. Buehrle 2. Burnett 3. Danks 4. javy 5. Floyd thats a nasty rotation

joejoesox
nice, 0-2 to a leadoff walk i have no confidence in us beating burnett, hopefully he runs his pitchcount up to the point of exiting the game

He is a health risk, but I think less than the other two. This season he will go over 200 IP, he had 165 last season 135 the year before and 209 the year before that. Harry Chappas
There are some pretty big name pitchers out there this offseason. Not all of them can get big bucks. Dempster is out there as well.

They have a lot more $ than some lead on. Just because they lost Carlos Lee and Cordero doesnt mean they didnt offer huge contracts... they did in both cases.
