jphat007
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 08:00 PM) Their offense still sucks Reminds me of a team I was fond of not so long ago.
RockRaines
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 08:58 PM) Gavin just threw a meatball for Scutaro to hit. Well, you don't deserve to win if you can't score. It was a sinker breaking in on him, he kept his hands back and hit it oppo. Not sure you can call that a meatball. GREAT outing by Floyd. Even with this inning and a few cheap singles, he was dominant.

southsideirish71
The Toronto offense adjusts, shortens their swings, and makes contact. They push the run across. They look like the playoff team fighting tooth and nail to get the win. We on the other hand, swing as hard as humanly possible, kick the ball around and dont score unless we jack the ball. This team better learn how to score withou the jack. This offense is a one trick pony. Sorry Gavin, you had to throw a shutout as our team has not figured out how to adjust to breaking pitches. joejoesox
I hope our hitters are proud of their performances tonight, against a guy who's given up 22 homeruns this year.
winninguglyin83
floyd did more than his part. need a whiff and a pop out and then some runs. also need to sit griffey for the rest of the year. He's beyond brutal.
RockRaines
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 09:03 PM) correct....should have been pulled after Scutaro's hit. 1 out and man on first and you pull the pitcher with 80 pitches? Can you see the future? Thats an absolute terrible time to pull a starter who has been cruising.

Going to be awfully tough for them with the Red Sox, Yankees, and Rays in their division. There's not a chance in hell they keep Burnett though. Not many people can, you can add Andy Sonnanstine (sp?) in that group of pitchers I always think we can kill, but they kill us (mostly)
