DBAHO
Well I'll start up my 1st game thread of the season. Will be attending tonight's game, so let's hope we can bounce back for a win. Hopefully with Gavin on the mound, we'll give him the run support that we have all season long.
maggsmaggs
Your first game thread of the year and you go ahead and give us the game time for the Eastern time zone. Tst. You are just feeding the East coast bias. Twins have a good shot of winning tonight, so let's keep getting that magic number down with a win tonight. BA better start tonight in CF with Pettite on the mound. And Konerko at 1st, with Swish in LF.
BlackBetsy
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 09:26 AM) BA better start tonight in CF with Pettite on the mound. And Konerko at 1st, with Swish in LF. Owens in LF, BA in CF, Swish sits according to the Trib. Swish has 1.000 OPS against Pettite, although only in 3 plate appearances (1-3, 2B, GIBP). Konerko hits Pettite well...so does Griffey, who is sitting, Dye hits him well, Cabrera hits him well, AJ hits him well, Uribe meh. Giambia and Damon light up Floyd, although in relatively few plate appearances.

oralsoxpodcast
Pettitte is 0-4 with a 7.15 ERA in his last four starts, and the Yankees are 1-8 in his last nine outings. He pitched 4 2-3 innings last Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels, allowing four runs - three earned - and nine hits. Lets get em...pull that needle out of his ass and wipe that eyemakeup off his face!

MHizzle85
Stat of the day: Tonight will be Gavin's 1st and last start in Yankee Stadium. Which means we should probably go ahead and pick up the W.
LittleHurt05
Horacio Ramirez is 1-2 (.500 AVG, 1.000 OPS) lifetime against Petitte...since he is worthless out of the bullpen, maybe we let him get an at-bat or two and help him contribute to the team for once! fathom
Why would you play Owens against a pitcher that is impossible to steal against?
